Let me start this one off... we were simply amazing, anyone else?
Yay, I don't know if we're going back to the play-offs!

    Murph: -40
    DJones: -38
    Watson: -38
    Dun: -31
    Hibbert: -23

    SJones: -7
    Rush: -5
    McBob: -3
    Ford: 0
    Price: +3
    Hans: +5
    Head: +6

Rush, Head, Hans, Murph, and Dun the only players to get over 20 minutes. Ford was just under 20.

I disagree - I thought we played poorly?

I think the countdown has begun on serious changes. Starting with the coaching staff. This is assuming that TPTB sees the situation as unacceptable. Maybe they are cool with it? I've wondered before if they are purposely tanking... I suppose if we do not make any changes that would have to be the case eh?

I would be the last one to say this, but I think the time is now for change. I think JOB has officially lost this team and everyone needs a fresh start. I am not even sure who we could bring in at this point but I would believe that the players would welcome the change. I am not saying JOB is a bad coach but I think he is not the right coach for our team at this point. Even if it were to be naming one of the assistants as interim coach and waiting to conduct a proper search in the offseason would be some change.

I think anyone would be good at this point in time, hell bring in Mark Jackson for a year (who I have serious doubts about). I think the problem they will have is finding anyone who actually wants to coach this team. I can't see Byron Scott wanting this job unless he gets a big payday. Maybe a guy like Mark is a good choice, because at this point any change is better than the status quo. Hell, I'd take Isaiah Thomas at this point just get a new thing going. Yea, I said it =/

some of this is on JOB sure, but consider:

    1) we were not that great to begin with

    2) best player gets injured

    3) (arguably) second best player looks to be playing with a bad injury last several games

results are not gonna be pretty

This team has not heart, the bottom line. You got a guy in Beasley who is wiggling around in glee on the floor because he drew the charge, and the next play down the floor he drives it across the lane and almost gets a good shot up. He should have been sent to the floor very hard, it just shows a lack of passion and pride on this team.

On a side note I love the idea of axing JOB and bringin in Mark Jackson for the rest of the season. I'm sure he would come here.

Oh my. Let's not totally go off the deep end here.

But but but... just think how awesome TJ Ford would be in the "quick" offense!

Pacers starters give Heat a 22 point lead.

With about 4 minutes to go in first quarter, the following unit, basically, is brought in and eventually gets them back to within 8 points:

    Ford
    Rush
    Head
    Hans
    Solo

With 8:30 left in the second quarter, still only down ten, JOB puts Murphy back in for Solo. With 5:30 left, and after several dunks by Miami, we are down 14. What does JOB do? He takes out Hansbrough and Head, the driving force behind our run to get back in the game.

With 4:00 minutes to go, we are down 20 and sinking swiftly. JOB realizes he's lost his offensive power, puts Head and Hans back in, (and keeps Murphy in).

But it's too late. The momentum has swung and the dunks keep coming. We never get back in the game.

Whether it's a five game win streak or a 14 point run that gets us back in the game from down 22 to down 8, Jim O'Stubborn doesn't seem to be able to go with the hot hand.

FWIW, I think that was the first charge Beasley drew all season. I don't think his emotion had much to do with the Pacers or the score... he was just happy he finally picked up a charge.

But I agree with what you're saying and I was thinking this during the Hawks game as well. The problem is we don't have any enforcers, no one the other team is scared of. When we had talent, the fans complained about image. Now the image is better but the team is 9-20 so they complain about talent.

Bottom line, no one is scared of anyone on the Pacers. We have a bunch of softies on this team and teams know they can get whatever they want on offense.

Losses are extremely hard to take.

I wouldn't mind seeing OB gone, but things won't get magically better with Lester replacing him. You think OB doesn't play Hibbert enough? He'll ride the bench if Lester becomes coach.

If you fire O'Brien, you have to fire all of the guys Jim brought in. They're a package deal. Maybe with the exception of Dick Harter since he's been with us before independently of JOB.

I'm not a fan of the idea of hiring Mark Jackson.

But I like the idea of giving him the reigns to this outfit and seeing how he does. If it looks good, hire him for the 2010-11 season as well.

    I agree 100%

They are a package deal, get rid of all of them, including Dick!

It makes me sick to see a box score for Jermaine look like it did tonight.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but when was the last time a coach was fired mid-season, and someone has taken over mid-season that wasn't already on the coaching staff, or within the organization?

Word is the Bulls are about to do it. Possibly Lawrence Frank.

Honestly, I hope we beat them to it and grab Lawrence if he's interested.

Yes and I also hate to see the other team yukking it up on the bench.
