Default Pacers vs. Heat Game Thread

Our team seems to get better and better at losing games in the first 5 minutes

    Let's get killed!
"I keep wondering the same thing. Last week they had the 4th worst record in the league, had an 11.9 percent chance of winning the lottery and were in line to land a franchise type player like Derrick Favors or DeMarcus Cousins. This week? They have a 1.7 percent chance of winning the lottery, have the 8th worst record and are in line to draft Cole Aldrich or Greg Monroe. Way to go Jim O'Brien. Rest Danny Granger the rest of the season (if it isn't too late) and give Josh McRoberts lots of minutes. That ought to do it." - Chad Ford on winning meaningless games

Way to go Jim, you may have just put our franchise back another 4+ years.

My knee-jerk response is to say our team sucks, but we're only down 20 points right now.

Looks like another painful game to watch. I'm finding it harder to find something to be hopeful for...

Well that was a good 1stQ looks like the game is done already, unless they can defend.

The starters... -18 and -20.. The bench +5 and +7.

The lineup that starts the game gets the team in such a hole that its almost impossible to come back from.

i hate jermaine , he would be laughing at the way the pacers are playing right now, so if we could beat them after being down so much,it would really stick it to him

no game thread by BC? I hope he isn't losing interest in the team

The Pacers are the most consistant team in basketball... Every game it is the same damn thing. Starters, or whatever group has Murphy on the court come in and get blown out by 20, reserves come in and chip away at the lead, only to have the Murph crew come back in and get annihilated again. I'm a Pacer fan for life, but this season is hard to watch... I watch them all, but there is just no hope for this team as long as there is no changes and I think they will just keep losing all year and probably next year.

I just hope to god the team doesn't move. There will be alot of hate and blame when reflecting over the last 7 years if that happens.

Sorry for the downer post, but what else is there to say? I can't think of one good thing to say about this team except wish thinking, such as I wish we had another coach and could make some trades...

And it has been that way since the start of the season. Including our 5 game win streak when the bench was the starters... But our coach inexplicably just can't figure it out. /bangheadonwall

How many more times is Hansbrough going to get a pass with ~3 or less seconds left on the shot clock?

TJ is awful at playing team basketball. I still wouldn't start him, no matter how many times he drives the lane to take the 8 foot fade and actually makes it.

Also: Why would they sub in Murphy when the Heat are having offensive woes. He's like tonic for a shooting slump for the other team.

He can be decent in a bench role where he can dominate the ball and do his thing. I think he could be a bit like Jason Terry, is on team that has more talent than ours. Not as good, but a similar role that is effective.

Well, except Terry is a very good 3 point shooter and while I don't know without checking, I'd care to guess he's a better finisher than TJ, too. He couldn't be much worse.

If we are going to keep on losing, i would rather see the young kids play the whole game. At least it gives us something.

Right, TJ is not near as good... TJ might actually be a worse finisher than Tinsley, and probably a worse 3pt shooter. he has a great mid range jumper though.
