Not trying to step on Lord Helmet's toes but I didn't see a thread started yet and we're getting pretty close to the game. Anywho away we go...
14-0, coming off of their 14th straight win against the Jacksonville Jaguars
7-7, coming off of a heartbreaking loss to the Atlanta Falcons
All time head to head record: Colts 40, Jets 25
Lucas Oil Stadium, 4:15 PM EST
Commentators scheduled are Greg Gumble and Dan Dierdorf.
Peyton has already confirmed that he will play as long as the outcome is in question. The Jets playoff hopes are already slim but they are technically alive. If New England beats Jacksonville in the early game today, they clinch the AFC East and eliminate the Jets. By the time the Colts and Jets take the field for this strangely scheduled late game, the Jets will know whether they are alive or not. If they are not the only thing they have to play for is keeping the Colts from a perfect season. Either way I think the Colts are going to get the Jets best shot today.
The Jets will put Darelle Revis on Reggie Wayne. Revis has shut down every single receiver he has faced this year. Every one. He's having a once in a lifetime season. He's given up 3 TD's all year. The most receptions he's given up to one player is 5. Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Roddy White, Andre Johnson, Marques Coltson, Steve Smith, are all top flight receivers. He's faced them all this season, Moss and Owens twice, and they have a grand total of 24 catches and 1 touchdown against him. Unbelievable. Will Peyton and Reggie be able to change that?
Let's go COLTS!!!
