    Ah the eternal optimists.

I think its great you have a positive attitude in a very dark Pacer world.

Personally I am disgusted. Since the brawl it has been all downhill. I was really excited last year but they have completely regressed to the point of looking uninterested and disgusted on the court

I am soo glad I didn't shell out 190 bucks for league pass
Why do you remind me of this fatal error I made?

This thread isn't awful, it really isn't. A sports fan is allowed to be optimistic, even past the realm of reality. What could have been and what could be are all parts of it.

Of course reailty is quick to bite you in the butt, however always hoping for a sunny tomorrow never hurts.

Trust me, from a sunshiner's perspective the constant ridicule and questioning does get old, but even if people don't take you seriously all that matters is that you've got something to hold onto.

In many aspects of life all we have is hope. Things are looking grim, but there is a silver lining to everything.

Keep your chin up. Keep hoping. Maybe not just for this year, but the ones to come.

    Good thread.

I almost made the same mistake that a lot of you are making in regards to writing us off as a failure until I looked through last years schedule. The reality of the situation from a pure record standpoint is this: if we win against Chicago tomorrow, we are no better, NOR WORSE than we were through 30 games last season. At this point last year we were in the midst of a 4 game loosing streak. It seems almost impossible to me that we ultimately have the same record right now that we did last year judging by how we've been playing. Then I thought about it. I for one am actually kind of excited for the rest of the season. Just think, its no secret that we all agree we played better last year than we have this year... it is somewhat comforting to me that we have played like absolute horse ***** this year and yet WE HAVE THE SAME RECORD at this point in time as we did last year. Last years team did play hard every night and I truly believe we squeezed every win out of that roster as we could. This years team seems to be completely clueless out there on the floor and I think we can all agree that they have yet to play to their potential.

Before the season began I felt like we were a 6th seed team in the east with this roster. 30 games in, I still believe that... granted it appears right now as though a 39-43 record will get you the 6th seed

    Good thread.
Agreed DD. I have zero optimism towards our playoff aspirations, but I'm enjoying the play of certain players and that's all we can do. Remain a fan no matter what.

I'm relatively optimistic because I'm pretty sure the coach is most of the problem....and he is gone after this year.

No, I'm not saying the team is talented or any good. It's just not this bad.
