There is nothing wrong with being optimistic. However I have lost a lot of that optimism, I still can't condemn B00sh for being such.

Hopefully I'll be right back up there on that bandwagon, B00sh, all in due time.

This is the worst Pacers team i've seen since I became a fan. I can only hope it improves.

That's only saying something if you're over 35.

It'll get better eventually. I just wish they would ditch the Passion Pride stuff. It is high schoolish to me.

Well I'm over 35 and while it is not the worst team I have ever seen it is one of them. Some of those mid 80's teams barely broke 20 games and at the pace the current team is going they will not break 30, so yeah it's pretty bad.

It's scary that we could still realistically make the playoffs this season. I'm not sure that would mean a whole lot given the condition of the EC right now.

If I felt the experience of being a first round sacrificial lamb would somehow benefit the young guys more than getting a very high draft pick in the long run, I could get behind this. As it stands, I don't even know if most of our young guys will actually be major contributors whenever we do get back to serious contention. Therefore, I think adding a young, high talent prospect would serve us better at this juncture.

Agree. I'd put this group one level above the pitiful 80's units. Particularly if you have a healthy Granger. Still clearly in the excruciatingly bad category though. I suppose it's still early enough for them to evolve or devolve either way.

Obviously we are worse than last year. I think this is due to a combination of factors including experience level and injuries. I don't think this is purely a talent issue at all.

First, Granger has not been healthy most of the year. He was deadly from 3 last year....but pretty cold this year. Foster has also been injured. Combine Granger and Foster's issues with losing Rasho...we lack experience and really the ability to even contend in the paint. Murphy is not a guy you ever want defending the paint. Roy has made strides, but we are relying on a young player to do alot...particularly without Foster around. We are also relying on Brandon who has proven to be very inconsistent...and with our wings being injured, it has not been pretty. Earl and DJ have helped, but not nearly enough to make up for these factors. Also, Hansborough, a rookie, is taking a lot of shots. We should not expect to be winning. Some of these guys will turn out to be solid pro's, but they are not ready yet. None of them are.

    Ah the eternal optimists.

I think its great you have a positive attitude in a very dark Pacer world.

Personally I am disgusted. Since the brawl it has been all downhill. I was really excited last year but they have completely regressed to the point of looking uninterested and disgusted on the court

I am soo glad I didn't shell out 190 bucks for league pass

We really need some more young blood. A top 3 pick wouldn't even cut it. It would be nice if we could pick up a Ramon Sessions or Darnell Jackson as well as some 2nd round picks. Get an experienced veteran in FA like Brad Miller as well as some young prospects like we successfully did with Luther Head. Get rid of Ford and Murphy for a star, and you have an OK team moving forward.

But we'll probably get the 13th pick and give Murphy a contract extension.
"I keep wondering the same thing. Last week they had the 4th worst record in the league, had an 11.9 percent chance of winning the lottery and were in line to land a franchise type player like Derrick Favors or DeMarcus Cousins. This week? They have a 1.7 percent chance of winning the lottery, have the 8th worst record and are in line to draft Cole Aldrich or Greg Monroe. Way to go Jim O'Brien. Rest Danny Granger the rest of the season (if it isn't too late) and give Josh McRoberts lots of minutes. That ought to do it." - Chad Ford on winning meaningless games

Way to go Jim, you may have just put our franchise back another 4+ years.

I'm worrying greatly and I'm not happy. I'm furious. I just had to take an Aspirin.

I'm not sure what there is to be happy about when we are getting our asses handed to us and when we are competing we are blowing double digit leads.
