Default pwee31's Pacer twas the night before Xmas

Hate to be a copycat, but I thought I would give it a shot. It's random! I had it in the other thread but didn't want to hijack it!

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through gym
Not a ball was bouncing, not even off the rim

The rafters were empty, full of nothing but air
they've been empty all season, Pacer fans just don't care

Pacer players were nestled all snug in their beds
While visions of being healthy dance in their head

Larry Bird's in his office, getting ready to snap
"What else can I do, this team plays crap"

Danny Granger's out 4 weeks, as Bird and Morway chatter
Travis Diener's out too, but that doesn't matter

Trying to think of ideas, while the team's strapped for cash
Maybe Mike, Jeff, Troy and Josh, will grow back their stache

The rookies are benched, with no room to grow
We've got to find more minutes, for Price and Hansbrough

Tj Ford to the bench, would make the fans cheer
Brandon Rush just looks lost, like adding headlights with a deer

Murphy's playing 35 plus minutes, defense not a lick
Trailing for a missed 3, this is making fans sick

Very faint in the crowd, they're chanting a name
Hey Jim O'Brien, put Josh McBob in the game

Instead Solo and Foster, Jim's gameplan needs fixing
Why does his playbook, say the other team's blitzing?

Bird looks at the draft board, how far must we fall
If there's a player we need, it must be John Wall

Dunleavy is back, maybe he is our guy
His limited minutes are ignored, and we're wondering why

While watching a game from his seat, Bird's impatience grew
Another double digit lead, the Pacers just blew

Dahntay's in for Mike, to pick up defensive slack
Foster's heading to locker room, it must be his back

Hibbert's in foul trouble, Head's called for the carry
Ford and Watson on the floor together, this is gonna be scary

The Pacers down 1 now, O'brien grits his teeth
Iso for Tj he calls, that's how we beat the Heat

Everyone know what's coming, please not that play Jim!
As the 15 foot fadeway, calmly clanks off the rim

Coaching staff looks around, hoping refs blew a whistle
While the fans leave the fieldhouse, like the down of thistle

But I heard Bird exclaim, ere he walked out of sight
Stick to the 3 year plan, we can't be fixed overnight

Merry Christmas folks, hope you and yours are having a great holiday

    OK - I'll give it a try.

    'Twas the night before Christmas
    And the Pacers still sucked.
    The fans stopped attending
Said they were tired of getting ........

    You know, I probably shouldn't.

    That made my day.

"I keep wondering the same thing. Last week they had the 4th worst record in the league, had an 11.9 percent chance of winning the lottery and were in line to land a franchise type player like Derrick Favors or DeMarcus Cousins. This week? They have a 1.7 percent chance of winning the lottery, have the 8th worst record and are in line to draft Cole Aldrich or Greg Monroe. Way to go Jim O'Brien. Rest Danny Granger the rest of the season (if it isn't too late) and give Josh McRoberts lots of minutes. That ought to do it." - Chad Ford on winning meaningless games

Way to go Jim, you may have just put our franchise back another 4+ years.
