Default Per Mike Wells: Tyler and Mike now up to 24 minutes per game

    FYI:

Coach Jim O'Brien said Hansbrough (shin) and Mike Dunleavy's (knee) minutes have been increased to 24 a game.

They'll likely continue to gradually increase their minutes as long as they show they can handle it.

Could Tyler and Dun be starting soon?
"I keep wondering the same thing. Last week they had the 4th worst record in the league, had an 11.9 percent chance of winning the lottery and were in line to land a franchise type player like Derrick Favors or DeMarcus Cousins. This week? They have a 1.7 percent chance of winning the lottery, have the 8th worst record and are in line to draft Cole Aldrich or Greg Monroe. Way to go Jim O'Brien. Rest Danny Granger the rest of the season (if it isn't too late) and give Josh McRoberts lots of minutes. That ought to do it." - Chad Ford on winning meaningless games

Way to go Jim, you may have just put our franchise back another 4+ years.

He can play TH all he wants as far as I'm concerned. We seemed listless during the win streak and TH is never short on fire. It can only help us and he's playing well. Honestly, I'd love to see him flip flop minutes and roles with Murphy at the 4 eventually.
I'd rather die standing up than live on my knees.

It is a long season and if TH only played a max 30 minutes a game for the season I would
be happy with that. It is an adjustment for rookies and their bodies.

Jim also said before the game that when Tyler is cleared to lay 30 minutes he'll play 30 minutes. Clearly Jim thinks Tyler is helping the team and will play him as many minutes as he can physically play. Not sure why so many on here freak out when Tyler played22 minutes last game when he was actually only cleared to lay 20 minutes

Yes. I also agree that you don't want to overuse Tyler the way he plays the game. 30 minutes at PF would be perfect. That would leave 18 minutes to split evenly between Solomon Jones and Troy Murphy.

    Just perfect.

Is there a back problem? I don't understand. Does he sleep standing up?

Yes, I know you "lie" down when you sleep.

During that game I recall them saying his "limit had been lifted a little" during the telecast. They never did specify to what degree though. I believe he was cleared to play 24 minutes then too. I'm not going to complain over 2 minutes though, just an observation.

Hope his last game means that his shooting is coming around. Best rotation is Murph 30 minutes, TH 30 minutes, Roy 24 minutes and Foster 12.
