Default How many non-Pacer NBA games do you watch?

    Just curious.

For those who are fans of other teams (cordobes, d_c, Kstat, DK, etc.), please substitute your team for the Pacers in the question.

    Thanks

I'm not watching as many this year as I have in the past. There were seasons when I watched mutiple non-Pacers games each and every night. Last night I did enjoy the Cavs vs Grizzlies - I still watch a ton. I have no way to put a real number on it though

The playoffs I do everything I can to watch every single game played and I also love to watch each of the postgames press conferences they show on NBATV. I probably watch near 95% of all playoff games and I mean from start to finish. If I miss start I don't enjoy it for some reason. .

I know many of you only watch the Pacers, but IMO you are missing a lot of good stuff by not watching other games. Plus watching non-pacers games gives you a different perspective on the NBA

I watched AI's return to Philly debute game Monday against the Nuggets. Does that count? I haven't watched nearly as many non-Pacers games this year as I did last year, but I've caught a few.

we dont get that many Pacers games in Oz.. they only tend to play the same teams, Lakers, Bucks, Cavs, Magic.. the teams they think we all want to see.

I think there are only 2 Pacer games, both against the Lakers.

Quite a few, but partial games only. I don't watch all of them start to finish.

Not necessarily start to finish, but enough to get a sense of the game.

For example, I've got league pass, and if a Pacer game isn't on, I'll generally pick one of the games to anchor on, then bounce around to the others. If one doesn't capture my imagination, I might continue to surf, or I might watch something else entirely.

I agree. It's amazing how superior the quality of say a Lakers-Nuggets game is to virtually every Pacer game.

I would modify my vote to say that I also haven't seen a Pacer game since 2005.

I'll be at the Memphis game on 12/30 though. Thanks for the tickets, M______t!

It is amazing how much better Western Conference basketball is than Eastern Conference basketball. There are maybe three teams (not counting the Pacers) in the East that I enjoy watching - Boston, Atlanta, and Orlando. Cleveland, in my opinion, is not enjoyable to watch at all. Compare that to the eight or nine teams in the West that are fun to watch. The problem is I do not have the effort to stay up until 12:30 to 1 to watch an NBA regular season game.

I usually watch the end of the first game and the first half of the next game (if it's still good I might take the effort to stay up) on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

I live in Atlanta, so I was able to watch the Pacers on opening day. Sucks, that I don't get to watch them, but I do "watch" them online.

I will catch a game on tv if I think the matchup is good or if the Hornets play. Chris Paul is a *****ing stud. That team hasn't been the same since they traded Chandler though.

That is so true. What happens when the elite teams play each other is both teams raise each other's level to a very high level. So a Nugs vs lakers game or a Cavs vs Celtics game is just soo much better than a Pacers vs Bucks game or even a lakers vs Pacers game.

Watching a game is always a time thing, not a want to thing for me.

I dabble. I want to watch more than I do, I just haven't gotten a good habit yet.

I think what I'm going to do is pick a 2nd team and maybe a 3rd team, and try to follow them as if they were the Pacers. I figure that will expose me to a lot.

I try to watch most if not all of the playoff games.

I watch more college basketball than I do the NBA, but that's due to me wanting every team from Indiana to win along with my roommates watching it constantly. I only care about the Pacers when it comes to the NBA.

Spend most of my time watching Hockey in the Winter...well in the Spring and Fall as well...people often tell me I was born in the wrong country.

I must say, I mainly watch the Pacers, but if there is a game that interests me, I'll watch that as well. Would love to watch more but there are two difficulties:
    a) time-difference, even if I watch the Pacers game, it mostly starts at 01:00 here, so to watch other games, they must intrigue me, have to get up the next morning of course and 4 hours of sleep isn't that much to do on a regular basis
    b) streams are often crap, but have to work with those since nba hardly shows on tv here
Yay, I don't know if we're going back to the play-offs!

I said none, because I don't really watch other teams. However, since I have league Pass I will check in on games with ex Pacers in them, or I'll watch the last couple minutes of any game if the score is close. The playoffs don't usually make any difference to me.

What we man Hagg said, if it's on ESPN Weds or Fri we see it, sometimes some TNT Thursday games but for me, ESPN Weds or Fri, so it's the Mavs - Spurs tonight I think, Yah...

so if anything I have a bigger reason to want the P's to fricken be winners so I can actully watch some fricken games on tv, I can acquire a few games from other means and they are normally Pacers -Raptors/Nuggets for some reason...

Mind you we did get a pre season Pacer -Nugget game from Taipan, to bad it was the blow out loss...

I don't watch the NBA I watch the Pacers.
I don't watch the NFL I watch the Colts.
I don't watch college ball I watch the Hoosiers.
About the only sport I will watch teams that I don't root for is soccer.

The only team i'm interested in besides the Pacers are the Kings.. but they're never nationally televised. I ocasionally get bored and will watch other teams.. which puts me in the "5 or fewer" group.

usually many Spurs games for me which is the easiest and most common to watch on French television because of Parker's popularity... plus some some of the nationaly televised games that are also broadcasted here... and if I can catch them on the net or sling, I like to watch Hawks and Rockets

I like the Pacers, Lakers, Bucks, and the Celtics.
"I keep wondering the same thing. Last week they had the 4th worst record in the league, had an 11.9 percent chance of winning the lottery and were in line to land a franchise type player like Derrick Favors or DeMarcus Cousins. This week? They have a 1.7 percent chance of winning the lottery, have the 8th worst record and are in line to draft Cole Aldrich or Greg Monroe. Way to go Jim O'Brien. Rest Danny Granger the rest of the season (if it isn't too late) and give Josh McRoberts lots of minutes. That ought to do it." - Chad Ford on winning meaningless games

Way to go Jim, you may have just put our franchise back another 4+ years.
