Thumbs up Post Gams vs Clips: Roy is awesome! This team is disgusting...

They play with no passion, and I do believe Obie has lost the team. I can't find to words right now to explain my displeasure with this underachieving team..

I looked at the schedule. I think we will be about 10-22 by the end of the year.

This team needs an offensive plan. JOB's free wheeling thing is not working.

I've never seen a Pacers team look this lost! This looks like summer league play! Wait, I take that back. They actually looked half way decent in summer league!

On the bright side, our new coach next year will have a high draft pick coming onto the team.

The best part about this game is I got to watch the end of the Texas-Nebraska football game during commercials.

And the Clippers commentators were really good.

And Danny will finally get to rest from his injuries.

You know, we could have used a little bit of Luther Head tonight to replace Danny.

Agreed. This team desperately needs a new coach and an actual PG!

10?! Honestly, I love your optimism.

I can't say we're better than any team right now, especially with Danny out.

I fully expect to lose to the Nets, and who ever else is on our schedule.

I know I predicted 40 wins and the playoffs in the prediction thread, but I'm struggling to see us win 20. Which means 14 wins the entire rest of the season... it's gonna get ugly.

I apologize for my pessimism to anyone who feels excited or inspired when watching this team.

I don't see how they are going to win another game with the status quo. We really have become the worst team in the NBA. I can see this turning into a 20 game losing streak.

well if they are 10-22 at the end of the year, then they will have done something right, and that is let Granger get healthy.

One indicator of how terrible our coach is that Kamen had 5 fouls and we didn't force issue on him, you attack a player with 5 fouls because he isn't going to be as aggressive on you. The fact that he finished the game is just tells you we never had a chance.

I believe I have satisfied the requirements of the thread.

I'd love to see what we have in A.J. Price. I know he's currently injured, but will Travis Diener ever play again as a Pacer?

Edit: I am bothered by typos in thread titles.

Ralph Lawler was great tonight. Hilarious as ever.

Roy Hibbert is our second best player. Period. To suggest otherwise is crazy. (IMO, of course.)

We stink and we're poorly coached and we lack confidence and a quality gameplan. How's that?

Let's assume Danny is out for a week or two.

    Here's our best lineup:

    PG - Watson
    SG - Rush
    SF - Dunleavy
PF - ugh. Tyler, I guess. But I'd be okay with starting Soloman or McBob.
    C - Hibbert

    Bench:
Jones, Foster, Soloman (unless Tyler is not starting), Head.

That group should be able to go 2-8, maybe 3-7. And that's meant to be a compliment, given that we're in a total freefall right now.
Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

True, but I doubt O'Brien would do that. I see him more likely to go with:

    PG - Ford
    SG - Watson
    SF - Jones
    PF - Murphy
    C - Foster

Which is good for 0-10, 1-9 at best.

Just to back the thread off the ledge for a bit...my argument: Danny Granger and Mike Dunleavy. Make a case for Roy over either of them. Don't cite injuries either.

It's starting to feel like the 80's again, losses don't hurt as much when you expect them. It's when you have real hope that the team can win a game that it burns. This team could still pull it together enough to get my hope back up but I don't expect it in the near future.
I'm with everyone in hoping they give Granger time to heal. How long before Dun gets his 20 minute limitation lifted?
Now back to my kick on going after Kamen. I know he's not Howard, but I can't think of 5 centers that are clearly better then him. Tonight wasn't a good game for him and he still had 16 and 11 in 30 minutes. BTW his 19 and 8.4 average leads all centers in scoring. Even when we get the cap room we're not going to land a superstar. Kamen may be realistically obtainable and he could be a key part of a long term plan. If we could keep Roy and play Kamen at the 4 some we'd have a dominate front court.

Yeah I wouldn't have believed it likely to happen when the season began...but I think that a change is coming eventually and if the losing continues it'll happen before season's end.

LOL no thanks.. I don't think I could stand to look at his ugly mug EVERY Pacer's game .. heh..

He is a pretty good player though , I WILL give him his props..
And with his half bald head, he'd probably fit in nice with past Pacer's alumni ... lmao ..

Plumlee reminds me of a young Dale Davis. Good rebounding and he contests shots well on defense and his offensive game is very raw just like DD's was coming out of college.

hes too inconsistent. even when healthy. and his game is one dimensional. plays no defense. he may attempt defense but certainly cant play it.

roy is extremely underutilized. whenever he gets legit minutes he posts double doubles and 2-4 blocks. thats legit. murph does that...without the blocks. dun puts up points but cant board. so overall, i believe that roy is our 2nd best player.

Sadly, at least as far as this season is concerned, I have no idea if you mean Granger or Dunleavy with this quote.
