The team was playing well when Roy was playing well. Roy was playing well when he played with an athletic lineup. Playing Troy Murphy with Roy Hibbert hurts Roy and it hurts the entire team. The coach puts Hibbert in position to fail by pairing him with Troy, than yanks him in and out of the lineup and destroys his confidence... his production falls off while the pacers lose a ****load of games. Does my logic fail or is it possible there might be something to this?

Its not all about Roy, but it appeared during the streak that the defense could function pretty well when Roy was paired with Granger at the 4, and having a legit post presence was helping us win. With the return of murphy the defense is back to being atrocious and Roy's minutes get cut. Shenanigans.
If there is a way I could thank you twice, I would.

BTW, Granger at the 4 I believe was our best situation. If you recall, Granger was guarding Garnett and if he can do that with any success, he can guard most if not all 4's.

With Granger out, you can kiss that goodbye. It also guarantees that Murphy will get big minutes probably for the rest of the year. These two things make the lottery a distinct possibility. At this point in time, that would be the #6 pick. Not really a terrible thing considering this team will struggle until it gets out from under a few bad contracts. Call it preparation for the good times that will come later.

Is there a legitimate reason for bumping this thread? Could you at least state the point you're trying to make by doing so, instead of just bumping with a "."? All the pointless bumping of old topics is getting distracting.

I'm pretty sure he is trolling since he has bumped half the front page with this crap.

Yes. It is meant to emphasize that starting a thread and telling others to stop talking about the subject not only doesn't work it isn't appreciated......either.

That doesn't make any sense. Can't you hold your grudge a little closer to the chest, instead of bumping NUMEROUS threads for no good reason? Seriously, JOB has been gone for two years, and he's not coming back. Who cares if he's a good coach or not? He's not our coach anymore! I understand the lack of things to talk about in the offseason. But this is legitimately stupid and spiteful.

If you don't like the threads, don't open them. Pretty simple solution.

I agree with him. I look at the top 6 or 7 threads on PD every day for a nice round up of what's going on in the NBA and with the Pacers. Having 5 threads all on the same subject drudged up from two years ago to make a useless point is annoying, and makes this site look bad. I'll be glad when everyone stops responding and we can get away from BlueNGold Digest.

That's nice. You're not going to stop people from bumping old threads if they want too, so you can either get over it, or just be annoyed.

Admittedly, I'll just be annoyed. The hope is that next time someone feels like graffiti-ing the front page with old threads, somewhere in the back of their mind they'll think "that was annoying the last time that guy did that, maybe I shouldn't."
