    Default Tiger Woods car crash

How can Tiger be off topic?

Reports say serious injuries. Hope he ends up okay.

Low speed wreck, alcohol not involved, charges pending.

    Well, that's interesting.

That ... doesn't make any sense. Unless maybe ..... he was popping pills or something.

    He's okay.

I guess his drive is still off to the right. Hit a water hazard and can't stay out of the trees.

Sounds like an Ambien blackout/sleepwalk to me. Lots of stories like this going around.

A local police chief says Woods' wife, Elin Nordegren, used a golf club to smash out the back window and help get the golfer out of the car. Nordegren told officers she was in the house when she heard the accident and came outside. Windermere Police Chief Daniel Saylor says officers found Woods lying in the street with his wife hovering over him.
    Uh, OK.

This has been an eventful holiday week for Woods. Earlier this week, a story in the tabloid National Enquirer alleged that Woods has had an ongoing romantic relationship with a New York woman named Rachel Uchitel.
Maybe it's starting to make sense now. 2:30 in the morning, he isn't going to practice putting. Yeah, I know I speculate, but 1+1 usually = 2.

Very true. Could have occured from ambien, lunesta, rozerem, or any other sleep aid, tranqs, other sedatives, benzodiazepines, etc.

I love how they say alcohol wasn't involved, so that's the end of it...

I guess reports are that she scratched his face up fighting over the report about the cheating. Then when he left she attacked his car with a golf club and while paying attention to what she was doing, he wrecked.

That would explain why she had the golf club to help get him out ....

If her lawyer can prove Woods was cheating, I bet the wife takes a divot out of his bank account.

Philandering makes no difference in many states. In California, there are only two reasons someone can ask for divorce: 1) insanity, 2) irreconcilable differences.

Extra marital sexual behavior has no bearing on financial rulings. Period.

And besides, he could give her half of everything he owns, and half of all future earnings, and he would still die a billionaire.

Tiger calls the rumors surrounding his situation "irresponsible" and said his wife acted "courageously" when she saw he was in trouble.

That's exactly what a man would say who was trying to make his wife happy after getting busted. Or he could go the Kobe route and buy her a huge ring too. Maybe he's doing both.

Who knows? I'd rather take his word for it (whether or not it's true) rather than listen to speculation.

As much as people hate them, TMZ's track record on this sort of thing is insanely accurate, and from what I saw they were the first people to break the story from a friend of Tiger who talked to him about it.

Plus, Tiger has a lot to hide if it's true, and his marriage riding on some sort of damage control. To me that's like believing the cigarette companies when they said they didn't cause cancer.

That's also exactly what a man would say when BS is purported as fact, to be fair to Tiger.

I'm not surprised you'd take this stance, as I recall you've made your opinion about TMZ quite clear in the past, but it doesn't change their accuracy.

TMZs story makes sense, really. Why else would a sober man hit a fire hydrant/ tree? She certainly wasn't outside hitting some practice balls with the club in the yard at 2 AM. So why did she have it? I find it unlikely that she took the time to run inside the house, run back down to the neighbors yard and do what she did. So I would presume she already had it in hand .... but why?

Also, that doesn't even begin to explain why they're avoiding the police like they have H1N1.

I have no idea if the TMZ story is accurate, but I was 100% sure the first story that came out the next day after the incident was not accurate.
