Since no one is doing it.......

Well, the Pacers won......I'm not sure if the win was a pretty win....but one that the Team needed.

    Thoughts anyone?

Posted this at the end of the game thread, but worth repeating maybe:

Clips shoot at 46 percent for the year. They were at 32 percent tonight.

I'll also add this...the pacers settled down a lot when Foster was on the floor. The guy's a real pro veteran presence. When the ball came to him, he was never at a loss as to what to do with it, like Roy was at times tonight. (Not putting blame on Roy...I truly did not understand what in the heck we thought we were doing a few times when we passed to Roy at the top of the key, and then everyone else seemed to disappear, just generally not offering Roy a target to pass to.)

    A win is a win.

Dahntay showed up when it was needed. Troy with a big bucket or two. Foster rebounded well. Head played a key role in revving the offense up finally.

TJ woke up the nearly asleep Baron Davis who almost took the game away from us.

I'm happy with the win. The Clips are horrible.

Glad to see some life from TJ and execution from Troy. Also, it looks like Brandon's getting good support from his teammates.

This win doesn't solve our problems, but there was positive growth in some of the season's storylines.

Roy's been a different player since the benching. Just like last year, not really surprised.

Rush was really good today, he was agressive and was shooting the ball pretty well.

edit: the game was still a bad game until the 4th quarter

Does McRoberts have ability to be a sf/pf hybrid? Right now, he shouldn't be in the NBA. But thats what a prospect is. Ask Ginobli.
"I keep wondering the same thing. Last week they had the 4th worst record in the league, had an 11.9 percent chance of winning the lottery and were in line to land a franchise type player like Derrick Favors or DeMarcus Cousins. This week? They have a 1.7 percent chance of winning the lottery, have the 8th worst record and are in line to draft Cole Aldrich or Greg Monroe. Way to go Jim O'Brien. Rest Danny Granger the rest of the season (if it isn't too late) and give Josh McRoberts lots of minutes. That ought to do it." - Chad Ford on winning meaningless games

Wouldn't think he has the ball-handling skills needed. Might be a 'very good' for a PF...but for a SF?

If we are complaining about Obie, I can't imagine the ****storm we would be throwing if Dunleavy Sr. was the coach. He is awful.

He followed Al Thornton out there and swatted his stuff twice. Maybe a Gallinari or Kirilenko type sf that is there to guard a strong SF and strech the D. The only thing is that McRoberts has nothing to stretch.

That one McRoberts dunk was memorable. I'm just glad we're working our way back to .500 again instead of going in the other direction.

Glad we won! We really needed it in the worst way. D.Jones really stepped up after a poor shooting first half. Luther and Murphy had pretty good games.

Not much to say other than the Clips sucked worse than we did.

Yes, he is the best pickup outside the draft in recent memory.

BTW, Murph did play very well tonight. I have been pounding on him for years now, but time to give the dude some credit. I hope he keeps up the progress we saw last year.

TJ really woke up after the Baron Davis thing- if he plays like that the rest of the year our team is much better.

No, TJ actually played in control for most of the game. That has more to do with it than almost anything else.

Though he really does have to stop fouling opposing players' forearms with his chest.

And on defense - did anyone else notice the (at least) three times that he gets his man down on the baseling, cheats toward the backcourt, then when his man moves to the baseline TJ spins .... AWAY. The last time I almost shouted OLÉ!

I think McRoberts does have the handles to play the 3. Not that I expect him to double-cross over on anyone.

Oh yeah, Dick Harter, JOB, Thesterovic, and Tropht were impressed by Murphys' defense. Kaman had only 10 pts.
