Default The Pacers Summer League thread

Even though the summer league games a still a little while away, I wanted to start a thread to keep track on who is on our summer roster and other information regarding summer league. So far, here are the people that are most likely going to be on our roster:

    Brandon Rush
    Roy Hibbert
    Tyler Hansbrough
    Josh McRoberts
    Aaron Jackson
    Leo Lyons
    AJ Price

I can't wait to see some pacers action! In any form!!!

I'm cool with those two knuckleheads (mostly), but for the love of God can they please get a better camera installed, or simply move the one they have to a better spot?

The past couple of years I got suckered into watching this stuff online, but in reality you can't even tell who they hell anyone is most of the time!

yeah they're cheap but still, i had to watch the games 4 in the morning and those cheap jokes are the thing that only made me wake and watch the games, which doesn't broadcast the exciting part of the game because cameraman had to eat.

Dante and Galante annoy the hell out of me.

They should be hazing JVG and making him do the summer league games all by himself.

They're doing it as a courtesy to fans of the teams that end up in Orlando. I doubt they're getting compensated for it, just volunteers. It's the sideline reporter, a PR guy and probably some intern they suckered into running the camera. It's the best they can do.

Also, the product on the court is mostly awful and they treat it as such with the commentary and the quality of video. I just try to enjoy it for what it is: an amusing diverson and a chance to see some minimally competitive basketball in the summer.

Why doesn't the NBA broadcast this stuff like they do the other summer league?

I believe it is my sole duty and responsibility as a member of this forum to start the Pepsi Pro Summer League Thread every year, and you, sir, have taken that away from me.

I get the feeling Stanko will send in a comment or two again this year.

If only Stanko was actually in the games.

I like summer ball to measure speed, hops and strength of a few rookies against any known quantities out there. For example, we should get to see Price out there with Rush so we will have some idea if he's in the same ballpark or not, and if he is then he has a shot to stick with the team.

What sucks is they haven't been in Orlando long. 4-5 years ago they were Minny and you could attend games. I nearly drove up for Artest's return in summer ball, with Bender also returning from injury (for the final time it turned out).

Man, our summer squad of Hibbert, Hansbrough, Rush, Price, and McRoberts is like a Dickie V all-star team. Those 5 with granger is a team full of potential, I can see Price making the cut easy.
    Roy Hibbert.... It's the POWER!!!

No Bulls or Heat this year, huh? The Jazz and the Celtics are newcomers. Philly too? I can't seem to recall.

Im with you on the "Diamond In The Rough" bit, although I think Aaron Jackson may fit that mold as well. Especially if we arent able to keep Jack.
