    Default Curry for Stoudemire

I'm watching Sportscenter right now and they are reporting that the Suns are going to trade Stoudemire to Golden State for Curry.

I'm desperately trying to find a second source to confirm this, bear with me. I assure you they have said it about 10 times already though.

Maybe the Knicks should get involved in this and try and get Curry so those NYers can stop complaining and trade away their Curry.

Hmmmm, Nash and Curry are gonna give up about a bazillion points per game. Anybody think Nash wants to be there for the rebuild? Wonder if he will become available.

The way it's currently being talked about, it appears to be basically a done deal. Kinda sucks though, I really would have loved to watch Curry play with Golden State.

Ric Bucher says that it'll become official after July 8th. It'll be Curry, Biedrins and either Wright or Belinelli.

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/column...thatwas-090626

supposedly includes biedrins, wright, belinelli, and curry. quite a lot for the warriors to give up, i thought

Hasn't Nash been involved in a ton of trade rumors?

Shouldn't this thread be titled Biedrins for Stoudemire?

Not that I'm aware of. It's possible that I've missed something, but he's the one name on the Suns that I haven't heard. However, this Suns team looks like 35-40 wins in the West for the next couple years and I don't see Nash wanting to be around for that. He's only got two or three more years to be the starting PG on a contending team IMO.

I think Nash would probably love to play for Mike D. again and maybe their fast paced frenetic offense would be good enough to land the 5th or 6th seed in the East with Nash at the helm, but I think Nash probably has to be starting to worry about winning championships, which is something Phoenix and New York won't be doing.

I know the Hawks just drafted Teague, but if I were them I would strongly consider giving the Suns a call and seeing what Nash's availability was. Especially if you could get in on this deal and make it a three way.

EDIT: Which makes me ask is the Crawford deal, officially, official already?

Maybe, but in theory if they do move Nash the Suns are probably gonna get a top 5 pick next year. So their new franchise cornerstone might not come til next year. They will be awful, they already might be awful they will have no inside scoring presence to speak of.

They seem like a directionless franchise to be honest.

Looks like a losing season if they make this trade and no other blockbuster deal with them getting an All-Star.

This goes with Peter's question about rumors... the only rumor about Nash was when he appeared on Letterman and said he'd love to play in NYC. Dude seems to love New York and with D'Antoni there... maybe Donnie does Rimfire a solid and pulls off the Bosh trade too.

And yes, I'm pretty sure the Crawford deal is officially official.

d_c can probably attest to this....but listening to KNBR after the draft....Warrior Fans are NOT going to be happy giving up Curry.....I'd really hop that they get back Earl Clark as well.

I really hope that the Warriors have worked out an extension......all that for a 1 year rental? Not worth it IMHO....

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

LOL. Lots of contradicting info as usual. This thing is up in the air.

First off, Ric Bucher is no longer a very good NBA source, and what he says is B.S. Nothing prevents teams from "agreeing to a trade in principle" and then leaking/announcing it. It's happened over and over again, but it hasn't happened in this case.

This probably would have been a done deal by now had Curry already been picked before the Warriors. If the Wolves took Curry, the Warriors would've taken Jordan Hill and this might just be a done deal. Then somehow Curry slipped and the Warriors probably backed out of any deal involving him.

There's also the subject of an Amare extension. He'd be asking for something like 5 years and $95M. Will the Warriors owner pay for it? I dunno. I do know that there's no way the Warriors would agree to a trade w/o getting an extension done.

Lastly, here's the video of the Warriors war room after the T-Wolves took Jonny Flynn. Maybe they got put up to acting lessons with Michael Bay 30 minutes before the draft, who knows? You decide:

No kidding. I know if I were 35 and in the twilight of my career I sure wouldn't want to be a part of what Phoenix is doing.

I think Nash deserves better than this.

Impossible. Michael Bay was at an IMAX Transformers: Rise of the Decepticles screening in DC last night. Regardless, you think the Clippers would pay for Bay? Hardly. That looks like Uwe Boll's handywork.

Who would want to go to NYC anyway? I have been and I would never want to go back. It is freakin filthy, the people are rude and mass transit sucks. Just my opinion but it sure seems liek the popular place for athletes to go. Dont know why but oh well.
