    Lienie's Honey Weiss.

Or a Honey Bear - 1/2 Honey Weiss and 1/2 Berry Weiss.

Living in Chicago, I find Goose Island to be very overrated.
I consider it "solid". Don't know if that's overrated or not. I thought their "Mild Winter" was pretty good.

Although not a "connoisseur" beer, I'm fond of Leinies Red.

Their 'fest is very good for an American one, although I prefer Hacker-Pschorr or Spaten.

I'm seeing a lot of "Fat Tire" in stores right now. Looks like they are trying the Indianapolis market. Good stuff. I could drink that all day.

Indy, one more note about the Microbrew Fest I mentioned above. It's definitely a beer lover's event. By that I mean you won't run into any kids trying to drink as much as they can in 4 hours. You will be surrounded by folks that know and love beer. It's great.

Good, that's not really my style anyway. I guess we all have nights where we need to cut loose, but when I'm drinking good beer I prefer to pace myself and enjoy it.

I am the same way. It is funny I use to drink beer to get drunk. And now that I am legal age I like it for the taste, and hate the taste when I drink too much, too fast.

Does anyone know if this event usually sells out? I am iffy for that weekend and would likely need to buy tickets the day of the event if I can attend.

I need to try the Three Floyds Dark Imperial Stout. I have no clue why I have never picked any up - I may go buy some today.

I love Watney's Cream Stout but sadly can no longer get that here.

Fat Tire has been a nice refreshing addition this spring/summer.

I don't know about sold out but it's always crowded and we have always bought our tix in advance. If you have a clearer picture in the few days leading up to the fest I think you'd be pretty safe getting them then.

Overrated in that everybody around here swears by it, because it is local. But there are better (just not as well known) locals too. (Just like Giordanno's pizza - better known but not as good).

Although not a "connoisseur" beer, I'm fond of Leinies Red.
That is my stand-by. If I can't figure out what I'm in the mood for, I'll take one of those!

I liked that a lot better on tap in a brewpubs in Colorado than in a bottle out here. Not sure if my memory was that it is better than it is, or if it is just better when fresher. They sell it in a 23 ounce bottle at the train station but that is not my choice for a Friday afternoon commute.

Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

Dark Lord is only sold one day a year at the brewery in Munster.

Ridgeway IPA- It's a cask-conditioned import that I've only seen sold in pints. I loved it, it's not overly hoppy like alot of IPA's, if that makes a difference to you.

Once finals are over tomorrow, I'm drinking everything within a 15 foot radius.

If anyone comes to Santa Monica/Venice, I'll take you to LIbrary Alehouse. Great beer, great food. Can't miss.
    Does this offer still stand?

Of course. I don't need much of an excuse to go drinking.

    You coming into town?

Well, Warbird in Ft. Wayne closed in October so no more Mustang Ale. What I've been drinking lately is Samuel Smith's Nut Brown Ale. Wonderful.

Here's a link to the info for the 2010 Microbrew festival.

    http://www.brewersofindianaguild.com/festival.html

Looks like they've upped the price to $35 this year, and have added a special VIP ticket for $50 that gives the first 500 people to buy it a special glass and early admission. Sounds interesting.

Local place here has a mean oatmeal stout.

Been drinking some Sapporo lately. Not bad.

Those are two of my favorite summer beers. Although I've gotten a little burnt out on both of them.

Right now I'm slowly working through a mixed lot of stuff, some of which dates back to the Super Bowl. Nothing great, though.

I had 3 Allagash Whites, 2 Blue Moon Summers, and 10 Natty Lights yesterday.

Anyone tried the Sun King stuff from here in Indy? It's pretty good, especially the Wee Mac Scottish Ale. On Fridays you can get your growler filled for $5.

Had some Oaken Barrel Razz Wheat last night. Love the stuff.

Anyone have any recommendations on similar beers?

Man, stryder I had a good razz wheat a year or so ago, they're not really my style, but I enjoyed this one, but I can't remember the name now.

I found a place where I can get Lost Abbey beers shipped to Indy from San Diego, Local place there called the Bine and Vine. Opened a bottle of Angel's Share today and have a bottle of Judgement Day chilled in the fridge. Need to place another order here soon.
