While I am completely against his method, I think pacergod2 made a legitimate point that many around here want to bash the guy/gal (MillerTime) just because he/she annoys you, and that's not right.

Should this have gone in the trade proposal thread? No because it's telling us that Kaman might be on the block. This wasn't random.

If you don't like it, that's fine. Leave the thread alone. Leave the poster alone. Post in a thread you like, or start a new one about something you feel is legitimate.

As for this speculation. I agree the initial article is dumbfounding. I can't believe they would trade a legit center who is only 25, they drafted with the 6th pick in 2003, is relatively cheap, plays well on both ends of the floor, and is the foundation of their future front court over an older player with no scoring ability like Camby. MAKES NO SENSE. But this is the Clippers we are talking about.

I would want to make a trade for Kaman in a heart beat. He is 25 just like Granger and Ford. He would push Hibbert to get better, especially with a veteran like Foster around to help teach them. You could play both of them at the same time most games and wouldn't get killed when one gets in foul trouble. We would not get dominated in the front court, as you will see ALOT this season. I think you make that TRADE PROPOSAL if offered. And I really love the way Dun plays the game. It has more to do with a SF at the apex of his career versus a younger center. Plus the kid grew up in Michigan and I have heard on many occasions the kid is lost living in LA. He would enjoy being back in the midwest. As would I.

Agreed, Hicks! The WAY in which pacergod2 "worded" his disagreement with other posters though left a LOT to be desired.

For all clarity I have no problem at all with MillerTime or his posts at all. I actually like that sometimes you get a link to an article I hadn't read before. But, again the way pacergod2 responded was ridiculous.

    Just my .

I'm not mad at him for this one. I think a new thread is okay because one, there's a new article about Kaman being available and two, I think the Clips could be one team in the NBA that really would be interested in have Mike on their roster.

The link doesn't provide the full article. I read the full thing and remember it being hilarious. Worth a read if you can find the full article.

I agree Kaman is a beast but I would not want to give up Dun (if Kaman would be available). Yeah, currently we have a need at the 4 but I think we would have to give up too much to get Kaman. If we could get him without giving up Dun, Danny, Roy, Rush, or TJ... YEAH, but there is very little possibility of that. Personally (off topic a bit) I would love to see what we would get if we shopped Rasho. I don't see us resigning him but I think he will have fair trade value by the trade deadline.

Here is my take on our PF situation, I really like McRoberts. Now before I get some people flustered just hear me out. I'm not sold on him ever being a high-quality starter in the NBA; however, if he bulked up just a little too give him some strength to compliment his athleticism he could be an outstanding backup/decent starter. Josh is only 21, give him a couple years to bulk up and learn to really bang in there and he would be solid. We all know he is quick, he is long, and crazy athletic for his size (or any size). I think he could be very similar to Foster just weaker on the glass but much more efficient on the offensive end. Studying under Foster should help him grow quite a bit in-and-of itself.

As far as right now... I really don't see us getting a "great" PF through trading. For that we would have to wait to see if we really do clear enough cap space to sign someone in the next couple of off seasons. Stranger things have happened, but personally I think we are going to have to wait

All-in-all, we have the potential to have a very strong backcourt in the next couple of seasons. Like I said before, Josh is 21, Roy turns 22 Dec. 11th. There is always a possibility of getting a strong and young PF in the draft... but of course that takes more time. Don't forget... there are always Stanko and Lorbek lol

I'm absolutely shocked some of ya'll still don't want to trade Dunleavy, especially if we'd be getting Kaman back.

I like Dun, and Captain Caveman scares the crap outta me. But I still do that trade in a heartbeat, even with Rasho as a throw-in.

People are quick to talk about Kaman's looks and how he's a beast of a center. But no one's addressed his character or how he would fit into the current Pacers.

I for one don't want someone that fits a half court game like some of you want. The NBA is going away from that. So again, how would he fit on the current Pacers?

I'll pass... I'd rather not have anyone in Roy's way when he is ready. Anyway, If you are going to trade Jr. away.... I'd rather cover a position of need.

    What are his character issues?

He'd play Center, or when they play Toronto, he'd play Centre just like Roy and Rasho. I think that is how he fits, I'm not saying Kaman will win a race, but he is absolutely no slower than Rasho.

As far as half court being the way of the past, maybe, but I think it's the way the 4th quarters are mostly played and the way the playoffs are played.

I think it's basketball, if you're playing defense and then you can play uptempo then you're good.

It's like I said about point guards, I like them quick and fast that can handle the ball. I like Centers huge and strong that can handle the paint. That's just me.

I haven't heard anything wrong with Kaman's character. Maybe he has a bad haircut?

He'd fit in with the Pacers by playing center and being the best big man on the team. Hibbert is one of the slowest guys in the league and plays a halfcourt game too, and so far nobody's complained with how he fits in.
