Had a good time at this game despite the loss. Sat in 104 again, and again re-affirmed my belief that it is the best section in the house. If I had the cash, I would have season tix in row 1 of section 104. I came in expecting a loss, maybe even a blowout loss, because the Spurs had lost three in a row, and were not going to lose four. They had just lost to the Thunder on the road by one point, so they were going to be motivated to get back on track.
I thought that was definitely a charge on Duncan late, and I agree with the sentiment that if that had been called correctly, and Parker not hit that three, the Pacers win this game. I'm not blaming the loss on the officiating, because the Spurs played excellent basketball for 3 quarters, and the Pacers were obviously outclassed. The late comeback was fantastic, and it upheld my belief that these Pacers have turned it around, and are going to be playing the right way for many years to come.
Dukie got his new lens, so the playing field is mostly level now! I probably have a bit of an advantage because I've got quite a bit more experience with this model of camera and the 300mm lens, but I look forward to seeing more of his shots now that he can really get down to business...
======================
Dukie playing with his brand new lens! You better get a UV filter for that thing, quick. Last thing you want to do is scratch your glass...
They honored Tom Carnegie before the game...I wish I could've gotten some shots of him facing me, but oh well...
Dukie snipering me, but then didn't post any photos of me....What gives, homer?!
I thought the little eight-year-old girl did a fantastic job with the National Anthem...
This would be fun, but I'm not sure how I'd feel about doing it in a mascot suit...Ballsy, fellas. BALLSY.
Boomer acts like it is no big deal...Like he's hanging two feet off the ground. I would be soiling my cat-suit.
I was utterly flabbergasted at how many Spurs fans were in attendance. I know there were cheap tix available, but WOW. And how did Spurs fans get courtside and row two seats? They should check seat locations of all fans wearing opposing team gear, and refuse to let them sit within 10 rows of the court...Wouldn't THAT be nice?!
I can't get enough of their little dance during intros. I like the visual of the semi-dark, semi-spotlighted shot, with their outfits sparkling...And the dance routine is cool...This shot is fast becoming another regular, just like the obligatory jump ball shot.
And, as if by cue.....
Mr. Parker's face, meet Mr. Granger's forearm. About 15 seconds into the game, too!
Duncan's patented move. We all knew it was going in.
It was a good idea for a pass by Granger, but the Spurs barely got a hand on it at the last second and poked it out of bounds.
That's okay, because not long after that, we have this!
1.
2.
3.
4. Blowin' it up!
This sight SUCKS. Almost as bad as when Parker was spotting up for one. Man, did they shoot lights-out last night.
The smiling vendor guy had just missed a step and dropped his full tray of beverages. People were concerned. Beauty queen contestants watched with baited breath. People stood and stared. Even Daunte Culpepper was worried. It was CUH-RAZY!
Marquis is going to be buried in that suit jacket I think. I wonder if he got Rasho his pink pimp shirt back, sans the B.O.???
B.Rush was on fire to start the game, but then kinda faded away...
Yeah, we forgot how to defend this for a while. Kinda sad, but I'm not sure any pair runs it better in the league right now.
If I had a nickel for every one of Parker's driving layups last night....I don't know how many I'd have but I bet it would be a lot.
Duncan and Parker display their talent for multi-whining. Impressive display, I tell you.
Not gonna stop this!
Murphicus!
Dukie, feeding his face, not paying attention to the game......or the smokin' little hottie two seats away.
Ah, so close, and yet, so far.
We just couldn't stop this....
Poor Timmy...
Gotta love the rook taking it right up the gut and splitting Duncan and Parker! You go, boy!
He was money.
See.
Can anyone guess what is getting ready to happen?!
"I think you're forgetting who I am or something...Dude, I don't foul....EVER."
"Hmmmm.....I need to get this kid a Waah-burger and some French Cries."
