I love the new board.
I love the new board.
I don't know who put Who's Online at the bottom, but I think that clears things up a lot, actually.
Yes, this is a good first step. Having the whos online on top added alot of "busyness" and clutter. Plus, perhaps if it could NOT list all the anonymous ppl using IE6.0 over and over.. thats kinda silly... maybe it could jsut say "7 Visitors" or whatever.
Good move though putting it below
Actually, that's gonna change too. Able told me that it's going to change to something like for every type (IE5, IE6, Netscape), it will only list it once, and if two people us e the same browser, it will say something like IE6 x 3
One thing I have to give you guys credit for is that you listen to input versus saying, "No, this is it. We wouldn't listen to your feedback if you were Charles S. Anderson himself."
I'm not a designer, but I work closely with them and it's an integral part of what I do. And it helps in my field to have a strong aesthetic sensibility. So take the following for what it's worth:
1.) The blue/gray undertone is a little cold and uninviting.
2.) The PD logo buttons beside the topics look a little muddled at that size.
3.) The all uppercase lettering for topic starters is a little horsey.
It's getting closer, guys. Good job.
I just swapped the blue-grays of each thread's post background and avatar/username background with the two colors that alternated as the post background on the old board.
I kind of like it, but the contrast may be too harsh.
Just in case you was wondering, I still hate it. I won't continue to ***** about it though, I guess I can learn to live with it ................eventually.
I reserve the right to ***** alittle though.

What do you think of the change as of this typing? Which is the color change I mentioned just before.
At least some of you are seeing the banner and using the emoticons....Hicks said they were working on that aspect of it, too. I like this board but it just doens't seem like home yet. I agree with most of you, however....what matters most is the discussion of our PACERS!
I'll stay out of it. Wouldn't want to pille on.
Let me know when you're done, Hicks. I'll save my complaints until then.
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.
- Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
- Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
- Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.
Enjoy your time at PD!
Okay , sorry I got alittle disturbed with some inaccurate information here , VB doesn't not have a secuirty flaw , the reported security flaw was for older versions of VB , which there has been new versions out to fix these for a good 2 months , the biggest problem is people don't upgrade.
Anyways , I really don't care for the new format myself and it's not cause I like VB or anything , I thought the other board was much more eye pleasing , crisp clean and easy to naviagate , I reallize why the changes were made for security reasons and maybe a few others , none of my bussiness really
You could have did the same thing with the Navigation on any other board it just takes sometime. I am not bashing anyone so please dont get upset and I realize changes take time , so carry on gentleman.
