For one season. Daniels has to be pushing it.

Wow. Daniels is the best lay up shooter on our team.

Every time I see him driving to the basket he blows it.

Then you haven't seen him drive to the basket more than a couple times.

Daniels makes plenty of layups. Foster is the bunny killer on this team.

Daniels is a distant third to TJ and Jeff.

Is everyone forgetting TJ Ford? He doesn't make anything within 5 feet either. Ugh.

Ford has been quite effective from point blank lately. I would give this to Jeff for the time being.

TJ goes on streaks. There are streaks where he hits anything he tosses against the backboard... and then streaks where he can't buy a basket.

Foster misses consistently. I've coined the term "He Fostered the layup" for any player that misses a layup.

Well, I guess it falls under the first one right now. Still, even if he has been off, I'm sure he doesn't hold the record...or even close.

I will go back a little further in time and say Travis Best is probably the record holder for missed lay ups.

Did McCloud get enough opportunities to actually count in the record book?

I really, really wish someone could do an analysis of this. You know with some real numbers

I definitely thought this was about T.J. when I opened it. The last person I had in mind was Marquis. I think as a team we have probably blown more layups this season than I can remember in past seasons, but I think Marquis is our best finisher, by far.

    Hell if I know.

There is no record kept of this, to my knowledge. I wasn't trying to make a statement of fact, but the green font here is illegible.

    Why?
Because I have a feeling the results would be surprising

Within 10 feet I'm almost willing to give Quis the ball any time he wants it. Outside of 15 feet...

Yeah Quis is great in the lane and even out to about 15 feet. I'm shocked when he misses a shot in close - maybe that is why you think he misses a good number - because it is shocking when he does actually miss one.

This is unjust. Marquis is money in the paint, even when challenged. His half-hook is a thing of beauty and he puts it up soft. He knows how to use his body and the rim, and he's sneaky quick on getting layups off. You heretics. Let us not discuss his outside "shooting."

    Missed bunnies?

Foster is below average. His best finisher shot is a quick swoop and a banker on the right block, he's can get that down even at 8 feet. But basically, he can't elevate and he has zero footwork and fakes.

Rasho likewise. Special commendation here for the complete inability to draw a foul. Double special commendation for being the least agile player in the league.

Hibbert gets a pass because he's a rookie. Needs to come back with a stronger body, because he freaking folds like an accordion on contact. Also needs to learn to gather himself, his balance is often terrifying. If you want to cling to a hope for the future, he has consistently shown good hands on catches. Freeweights this summer, Roy. Freeweights.

BRush also gets a pass, but he also gets a special commendation for some truly mystifying decisions on layups. He has the skills to be much better. Let us all pray now.

Murph is mediocre. He gets blocked a lot because he can't jump. But did anyone see that reverse throwdown in traffic last night? The spirit of Dr. J possessed Murph for one play.

TJ is good around the hoop. Why the hate on him here? He's as good as midgets get.

    Jack is solid.

Diener lacks the acrobatics to get a shot off. He doesn't muff many because he knows this.

Danny is good. Given his natural ability and size, he could improve.
