    Two things:

    1. I'm happy he's out of the division and the conference.

    2. How much money?!
Take me out to the black, tell 'em I ain't coming back. Burn the land and boil the sea, you can't take the sky from me.

The chain gang just broke up - good riddance - I'm glad we won't have to deal with that d-line anymore

It was a 100 million dollar contract over 7 years ( it could go as high as 115 million if he plays at a high level). 41 million of the contract is guaranteed. Makes me sick to my stomach. . .

He is the best FA to be available in the past 10 years. It is a lot of money for a guy who only dominated in contract years, but if he plays how did with the Titans then this signing is probably worth it.

Isn't this close to Manning money?

It's more than Manning money. Though, Manning makes enough with endorsements to make more.
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

    Dear God...

I think the number to focus on is the guaranteed number ($41 million), not the potential contract value.
Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

True, potential contract value doesn't mean much of anything, as we saw last week with the cutting of Marvin Harrison (who had a 7 year 67 million dollar deal but only made it through year 4 of the contract)

Yeah, Albert's contract is essentially (4 years / 48 million) but 41 of it is guaranteed.

Yeah, but remember it's the N(ot) F(or) L(ong) league and only 41 million is guaranteed. If he doesn't work out they can always just cut him in a few years.
