Maybe we are going to make a play for Boldin? One can hope.

This title is grossly misleading. All that article says it's that its expected to happen. We all know it will, but nothing has happened....yet....

I actually heard we might be interested in Houshmandzadeh. It was on Sirius NFL Radio yesterday.

    I'd rather have Boldin.

Actually, if they're the same price, I'd much rather have Albert Haynesworth.

I knew this day would be coming, but it is still leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Hopefully he retires as a Colt.

I wish Marvin would just take a paycut, but I know that won't happen

we should draft Harvin if he slips and concentrate on defense after that

if Harvin goes before 27th pick, defense all teh way
Come quietly or there will be... trouble.

I'v heard that before too. I don't have a link but I heard that Peyton liked playing with him in the pro bowl in 2008; they completed a 16 yard touchdown pass together.

I'm not sure how much room we have under the cap, but if we sign Saturday I doubt we will have the room to sign a big free agent and all of our draft picks.

Well... last year was a bad time for me to buy a Harrison jersey (d'oh!) - Whatever the case I'll keep wearing it because to everyone in Indy, Harrison will always be a Colt.

Good Luck Marv, it was fun while it lasted.

Yeah, we knew it was coming, but it still sucks. I hope he retires. Seeing him in another jersey would just be strange. Especially since you know TN would be the ones to sign him....

I like Boldin, and I like Houshamazilli, but if we have money to throw around it NEEDS to go to Fat Albert, or at least some defensive player. Wayne & Gonzo are good wideouts, Clark is perfect in the TE/Slot spot, and Geo Robinson looked good as a recieving FB/TE.

It's apparent that our team has bigger needs at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.

and don't forget about Roy Hall. He is a beast in waiting. Anyway it will be an interesting training camp this year to see who will be moving up the ranks. I know people flinched when we paid Hayden a little much, but always remember, "Trust the Polian".

What does anybody think about Garcon? Not immediately but as a developer with more consistent PT over the next season or two? Looked better at WR than KR during some of his late-season WR looks. Big and fast is a WR combo the likes of which we have not seen lately (Hall's broken down *** not withstanding).

Schefter is now reporting that Harrison has asked for a release.

    http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/02/22/harr...o-release-him/

Looks like we tried to keep him but he wasn't willing to accept less money. Good luck trying to get more somewhere else.

One of the greatest WR's ever is leaving the franchise yet we feel like we hardly knew the guy. I think the ring of honor ceremony will be a bit awkward.

I seriously doubt Marvin Harrison cares about or would get any personal satisfaction from being inducted into the Ring of Honor. Even though Edge's accomplishments as a Colt pale in comparison to those of Marvin's, Edge has always been more of a Colt to me than Marvin because of his engagement in the community and I would take Edge over Marvin in the ring in a heartbeat. Why even put Marvin in the ring if it is unlikely he would subscribe any value to it?
    Already stoked for 2013-2014.

Saturday said Sunday night he intended to test the market despite getting an offer from the Colts late last week. Punter Hunter Smith's agent, Thomas Mills, said last week Indy would not try to re-sign Smith before free agency began.
    Hunter the Punter, too?

We're going to have a much different team. I'm kind of excited, but worried at the same time.

Thanks for everything, Marvin, and good luck wherever you end up.

Same to Jeff and Hunter, if it comes to that.

We are officially going in a different direction.

I hope we keep Jeff, but Hunter is replaceable.

I hate to see Marvin go, but it makes sense. If he can't earn that salary and wouldn't renegotiate, he left the Colts little choice.

Thanks for a great career, Marvin. It has been a privelege to be a Colts fan while you were rewriting the record books. You are a hall-of-famer, and you are DEFINITELY worthy of the Colts ring of honor.

Even if he doesn't care if he's on the ring of honor, he deserves it and he will be there. What a player has meant to and produced for a team should be the only criteria, and there is no question on those grounds.

    Best Colts WR EVER.

I have to say it is time to go for Marvin. If he doesn't want to restructure his deal, let him go somewhere else (Oakland always buys the old timers or there is the Indy Colt's south Titans) that will be willing to play an end of career reciever big cash to play a year or two more. If he was a team guy like everyone said he would have restructured that deal and not publicly asked to be released. Don't get me wrong on this thinking I am a Marvin hater but it just seems a little selfish. I hope the guy retires as a Colt though. We will be ok with what we have and what we may draft.

I really never thought this day would come. I totally understand both sides, but I never dreamed Marvin would ever be anything other than a Colt.

That feeling you have is similar to the one that the Green Bay fans had last season.
