The Cavs seem like they're about the only team willing to take on salary.
What about these ideas?
Pacers Trade: Dunleavy, Murphy, and Baston
A)Sczerbiak, Snow, and Hickson
B)Wallace, Snow, and Hickson (1st Rounder?)
Why?: Either trade makes Cleveland a better team for the length of the Dunleavy/Murphy contracts. They have to take on salary, but they're looking to use Wally's contract to do that anyway.
The Pacers get cap relief and an athletic young big who'd likely be a top 10 pick in this year's draft. In scenario A, you get out from underneath Dun and Murphy entirely. In scenario B, you get about $4 million in cap relief for next season.
For the Pacers this trade could be used to set up another, bigger trade to bring in an expensive, star-type player without busting the luxury tax threshold.
