Default Pacers-Bucks Postgame: Pacers Shoot Fish in a Barrel

Good win... insofar as every win is a good win. Plus a win without Granger is nice. But holy cow that is a really bad team. There's no way they make the playoffs.

Nice line by TJ tonight, but I question his decision-making more than ever. If he wasn't shooting out of his mind this would have been very bad.

Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

TJ did some very pretty things and some very ugly things. It all balanced out, fortunately.

It's ridiculous how much the Pacers were fouling.

I like the win. I don't like the uninspiring nature of it.

A loss to Milwaukee down Redd and Bogut (even with us down DG) would have warranted panic button status. That team looks abjectly horrible and we tried to let them pull it out.

    Great night by TJ.

Good win, of course any win is good.

TJ Ford, you want to hug him one minute, smack him up side the head the next and say what the hell where you thinking.

Yeah, I watch TJ and think why's he putting up shots like that? Then I check his line, and he's 14 for 21...Ha. Someone said he was beastly tonight. He shot .666.

I'll take the win, and the losses by NJ and MIL (of course). Looks like the Sixers and Pistons are toying with losses also. Good night to move in the standings a bit.

Nice to get the W. They're a bad team without Michael Redd...and with him out for the season...we should pass them eventually.

BTW, thank goodness all our defensive issues are resolved....lol.

this game was played the same as the orlando game, the only difference was the opposition, any other decent team would have whooped us tonight

I truly thought the Pacers were going to allow Milwaukee to win this game. 23 turn overs, sloppy ball handling, and careless play is a recipe for defeat. Ford scored but, he was constantly penetrating with no place to go or where to pass. If the Bucks had Bogut and Redd, this wouldn't have been a win. Will still take the win as ugly as it was.

Oh btw, who picks out O'Brien's ties? They have to be the most drab, bland, boring, and ugly bunch of ties I've seen in a long time. It reminds me of the defense his system has. I don't expect him to be on the cover of GQ, but for someone who likes to live dangerously with all out offensive you would think he'd put some color and imagination in his ties. He needs to try putting some flash n dash in something besides the offense... as in his ties. I have been meaning to say something about his ties since after about the 10th game, but after seeing that tie tonight I just couldn't let it go any longer.

Nice win/ TJ was big today/ Awesome dunk by Graham...but why do the Pacers always have to make games so "exciting"? Especially towards the end of games...

They more than likely will beat Charlotte. Gerald Wallace is out indefinitely with having 30-40% of his left lung collapsed and a fracture of one rib from their game vs Lakers. Sounds pretty bad...

A few odd thoughts about the game:

    1. Hibbert was only in for 1:09. O'brien needs to let him play more. He is gradually getting better.

    2. For a brief second, right after TJ went to the line for one of the last times, i think i saw tinsley in the crowd. After looking at it a couple more times, it's hard to tell if it is him or not.

    3. We won the trade with Toronto. TJ is a beast. I love the intensity he brings. He's finally getting healthy.

Foster- Played a great game. He had 7 pts and 9 rbs to go along with 5 fouls.

Rasho- Saved the game for us in the third. He hit 3 crucial jumpshots to keep the bucks at bay. 14 pts.

Murph- Hit some key 3's and made a jumper inside the 3 line (which never seems to happen with him) And another double double.

MDJ- I think Mike was aggressive in the first half, and disappeared in the second. 14 pts.

Jack- Scored some important buckets, and played good d all game. He ended up with 14 pts and 6 assists.

Ford- Remember when we first got Ford? Many were excited thinking he would be averaging 9-10 assists/game. That is one part of his game that has disappointed me this season, but overall, great game, and i love having him as a pacer. Matches career high with 34 and 3 assists.

Graham/daniels/Baston- Monster Jam from Graham, baston played decently on both sides of the court tonight, and daniels played some good D.

O'Brien- I question so many things he does, but as long as this is a rebuilding process, and as long as we win the game, i will not call for his head.

Very small crowd due to the snow. I didn't like the bucks jerseys. I wish we would have worn a retro jersey tonight. Moving up in the standings. don't give up hope!

I said this in a few threads, and ill say it again, you HAVENT seen what TJ is really capable of all year, he hasnt looked right to me all year. You are in for a very pleasant surprise when he is 100%, he still makes bad decisions too often, but he has a ceiling almost as high as any PG if he can get his mind right (and his body obv).

21 shots and three assists, along with 5 turnovers? No wonder he was only a +1!

When I start watching basketball again, he better play a helluva lot smarter / less selfish than that.

Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

I lost count of how many times TJ drove into traffic and then had nothing to do. Couldn't pass, couldn't shoot, couldn't finish the play. That ain't gonna get better with healing.

To his defense, he didn't have much choice today. No one else was willing to shoot the ball, and he was getting open.
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

But when we call him Travis Best 2.0 we get "scolded".

Yes, I probably should just say "I" instead of "we".
