A combination of both. The coach is bad and the players are a mix that don't match together. You have half court players with up tempo players and a coach that plays up tempo a does not know how to play half court.

Also think they should make the Kbills05 official thread and put them all in one.

    What exactly is a "GEEEZZZE"?

Until I at least hear some kind of rumor about the Pacers looking to trade for defense, I am unable to convince myself that management is committed to making the playoffs. Not a knock on any of our players, they are trying. It just is what it is.

Can we trade team defenses straight up? If so I'd definitely take some Boston D if the salaries match up.

The Pacers are just trying to imitate the Colts.

Well then we need Chris Paul (as Peyton), as he's the best passer in the game, and Granger can be Reggie Wayne. Works for me! I'd take that over what we got now.

That was terrible. The Magic might win the NBA Championship this season, but that is no excuse for how badly we looked tonight.

I would fire JOB tomorrow. The defense, the rotations. Terrible. Larry was in the building tonight. Go get a real coach, Larry. Jeff Van Gundy is out there. So is Marc Iavaroni. Mark Jackson perhaps. There are others.

Meantime, Rasho was not dressed tonight; why not? No mention on Pacers.com.

JVG has no interest in coaching here.

    So is Marc Iavaroni.
    There's a reason for that.

    Mark Jackson perhaps.
If Jax actually believes half the things he says, I don't want him anywhere near this team.

It was really embarrassing because of the following:

    - Howard made 8 of 10 free throws
    - Pietrus had some strange night hitting everything
    - They shot the lights out at the three point line.
    - Dunleavey was unusually awful, both with shooting and turnovers
    - Jack was his usual awful self with turnovers
    - Granger was cold

It definitely was not our night. And they are certainly the better team. But the blow out was due to the factors above. We've won some games where the luck went our way, but we didn't get any tonight.
Couldn't have said it better. Why everyone is blaming the coach, and not our two best players who were cold as ice is beyond me. If Granger and Dunleavy aren't hitting, you aren't winning against Orlando.

They mentioned on WIBC that he was inactive for tonight, but no reason why . . .

A really small silver lining??? TJ seems to be getting back to full strength, i dont think you guys have fully seen what he can do, at times. I watched the game, i cant see anything else positive to take away from it

But that's the thing- Offense comes and goes but defense should be a constant. Constantly bad to non-existent is NOT what I mean either.

When your shot is not dropping the defense should help keep you in the game... not letting the other team score at will and widen their advantage. That's the problem when the coach emphasizes scoring at all costs.

The underlining PROBLEM .. is that JOB does NOT recognize WHEN, AND WHERE to make adjustments IN-GAME .. PERIOD ...!!!!

    THAT is the problem ..

    For instance Dunleavy....

If Dun is playing horribly , pull his *** out of the game , and put quis or graham in if they are actually playing well... DON'T keep Dun in to further dig himself in a hole..

If a player is ice cold, and clearly is having an off-night.. don't sit there and lose the game for us as a coach, because you don't know how to utilize the players you have in the best possible way to actually WIN ...

Another example , as many have mentioned is Murphy as starting Center...
    WTF is up with that...??

Hibbert and Foster , and even Rasho at a lesser extent, should have manned the Center spot ... Hell When Roy was in there , he made it alot more difficult for anyone to drive in the paint, that includes putting pretty damn good pressure on Howard... Granted, no one is gonna stop Howard, but I think Roy could have at least made it difficult for him...
Even Baston done a pretty decent job on D at Center in there in the very ltd minutes he was on the floor..

ALSO .. WHY WASN'T Rush in there? at LEAST for his defensive presence... I'm sure he would have contributed at least a little bit on the offensive end ..

My main complaint ALL YEAR with JOB has been his ability or lack-there-of to address in-game situations/ matchups on the fly ... and his stupid substitutions , as well as all his DNP-CD's he gives out..

I just honestly think JOB is a 1 dimensional coach ... "run and gun" that's it ...
I like the fast tempo playstyle, dont get me wrong, but it is not gonna work when you have a coach that doesn't know how to properly utilize "ALL" his players .. and at the correct times...

Plumlee reminds me of a young Dale Davis. Good rebounding and he contests shots well on defense and his offensive game is very raw just like DD's was coming out of college.

Orlando is just one of those teams that have our number. Which there really is no shame in, what we have learned is that the truely good teams are usually better than us. No shock there.

As was said above if both Granger and Dunleavy are having off nights the likelyhood of winning anything is not good.

My only complaint with O'Brien for the night is his God awful insistance that we must play small.

A showing of hands please. If before the game I asked you who you would like to start at center opposite of the most dominate big man in the game how many of you would have said Troy Murphy?

I bet there are not a lot of hands that went up.

On the one hand though I think what Jim was doing was pretty much conceding the center spot but thought we would compete everwhere else.

Again, see the part about Granger and Dunleavy having a bad game, it pretty much blew up in his face.

We went big in our two previous wins and tonight we did not.

But to say this loss is on O'Brien is way to simple. Orlando is uniquely built with a dominate big man and two forwards that can shoot lights out and two guards that can penetrate.

The only true hope you have in a case like that would be to have a couple of big men who could go down low and punish their smaller forwards. Who on our team fits that description? Hibbert maybe but again he only got garbage min.

Someone said look for a silver lineing in this game and it is this, it only counts as one loss. We have a chance vs. the Bucks to get right back to winning.

Oh, thought I heard Clark say that Rasho was under the weather.

For the love of God, can we please, please, please get rid of O'Brien at season end? PLEASE?

I'm not a defense fanatic by any means, but this is just becoming absurd.
