Question Trying to identify an old TV show

I've been trying to figure this out for years, and it's driving me nuts.

When I was a kid (during the 80's), I seem to recall a mystery-style show that aired on channel 4 (WTTV at the time). IIRC, it also somehow tied into a local lottery-system, though I don't recall how, but I think it was somehow interactive with the viewer.

Does anyone know what the hell I'm talking about?

I think you're blurring a couple of things together that weren't necessarily tied together. ...But I have no idea. I don't recall anything like what you describe.

    Leave the sheep alone.
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

The only 80's mystery show that stands out to me is, "Seeing Things". It's one of those ones that's pretty vague to me, but certain things are stuck in my head, like the theme song.

If I had more info, I'd be able to find out what it was.

It was definitely an interactive mystery show of some sort, and it aired on WTTV 4. That's all I can recall for sure. I believe it aired once a week, on a weekend day. It wasn't around more than a few months or so, but I really liked it and want to know what it was.

I also think it was a local-only program, but again, I'm not completely sure about that.

Describe the "interactive" elements better. What did the viewer have to do?

What type of mysteries? Crime drama? Paranormal?

It was a Clue-like mystery show.

I seem to remember it tying into a "lottery ticket" style system, where you had to go play at a local supermarket (probably Marsh).

Ghostwriter. Not the show you're thinking of, but better.

Shade - Hide & Sneak, that was a fun show for the few they had on back in the day when I was a kid. Great memory you have there, I hadn't thought about that show in many years.

A little more description from wikipedia's WTTV history page:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WTTV

In the late 1980s, it produced a film noir-styled mystery show titled Hide & Sneak that was related to a scratch off game distributed at local supermarkets. Solving the mystery presented in one of the skits led to prizes. Each episode aired only once, however, because of its time-sensitive nature.

Just because Burnzone figured out the show you were remembering doesn't necessarily do anything to disprove the below comment:
