Default DA to announce Harrison findings today in Philly incident

    http://www.midwestsportsfans.com/200...rence-tuesday/

    Midwest Sports Blog is reporting:

Fox 29 News has learned that Philadelphia District Attorney Lynne Abraham will reveal the results of the investigation during a news conference.

Police have said the gun used in the shooting near Harrisonís car wash in the Brewerytown section of the city belonged to him.

The press conference is scheduled to start at 11:00 am and can viewed live at MyFoxPhilly.com.
Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

This could be Marvin's last hurrah in more ways than one.

I really hope he had nothing to do with it.

The same thought crossed my mind. Hard to tell whether it's coincidence or not.

Uhhh... coincidence? If it's all to say Marvin's innocent and sorry for the inconvenience then I'll believe coincidence. OTOH, if it's to say in any way implicate or indict Marvin, I don't think coincidence factors into it.

But you know what? I have no problem with 'innocent until proven guilty' so for the most part I have no problem letting Marvin have his season before pushing this forward (if that is what happens).

It's just like with Castroneves in the Indycar and his legal troubles... except the judge did NOT cut him any slack and so will in all likelihood cost him this season and potentially his seat with Penske while he fights his legal battle.

I'd just hope that the same courtesy would be extended to anyone under investigation and not just a high profile athlete in his hometown.

Why do I think Polian is secretly saying "dammit!"?

...Charges would've helped with the PR nightmare of the Colts not wanting or being able to come to terms on Harrison coming back next season.

I think the hangup here is that, while it is a felony offense in Philadelphia to own a gun that is used in a crime (and Harrison did own a gun than was used in a shooting) the DA really had to prove that the shooting was indeed a crime, and the testimony was too messed up to do that.

The proscecution of the gun charge I think to an extent relied upon first charging SOMEONE with the shooting itself.

Even if MH wasn't the shooter, but they could determine who was the shooter, Marvin would be going down on the gun charge.

Good news for Harrison and the team that decides to sign him after the Colts release him.
