Dalla is looking to trade Stackhouse 2 years and is looking for a decent to good PF like foster, for the pacers they would get a possible future PF in Bass and a good project in GG. I read that Rick is not playing Bass much because he does not fit his half court tempo and he wants to run all the time(just what the pacers need) and stackhouse was asking for a trade. As you can see the pacers still keep Rasho and Quis expirings to make some other moves plus the rookies and they may need to send a draft pick.

You do not trade role players for role players these are all throw in players in other trades.

Bass seems like is going to be a nice PF, what you do mean about role player for role player? this are role players at this moment but they are young and may be really good players in the future. Do you have any idea who Brandon Bass is? 22 years old 6.9" PF, you can't call a 22 years old guy a role player until he has time in the league

This would be a good trade just to get rid of Foster's contract. I'm still shocked they extended him.

It would be a trade worth pondering?

But there is no reason for them to want Foster.

They extended Foster because they know that Hibbert won't be ready for a couple more seasons & Nesterovic will be gone after this year. They are already weak at the 4/5, Foster brings veteran leadership & stability to the front court & team.

That being said, this trade doesn't get done.

Brandon Bass is a nice player but this team needs a solid veteran presence like Foster & if we trade him I would like to have more to show for it than Brandon Bass & an aged Stackhouse.

Why would the Pacers do this trade? Bass is the only player they could use. The Pacers have more SG than they can play now. Stackhouse would take PT from Rush, and Green would never see any time to try and develop him. Not to mention Stack wants to play, thus him wanting to be traded, and the Pacers don't have the minutes he wants. The Pacers wouldn't do this trade, and I doubt Dallas would either to get Foster.
