Default NBA Draft - Call Your Shot

This thread will allow you to say "I told you so!". Just call your shot on who the Pacers will draft. And if you feel adventerous, take a stab at the #60 pick.

    I guess I'll go first.

    Best guess #30 Delonte West
Sleeper #30 The Pacers trade next year's #1 to move up to #25 and select Sasha Vujacic
    Extreme Sleeper #30 Christian Drejec

    Best Guess #60 Ricky Paulding
    Sleeper #60 Tony Bobbit

I for one would love to see the #60 pick going on the board, and why would we select 1st in the second round and not in the 1st ?

didn't know the first pick was at 0, which is when you would be right.
In effect the Wolves have no pick, henceforth there are only 29 to go around, of which we have the last, i.e. #29

If a 1st round pick is removed the overall number of picks reduces by one, so technically and officially it remains #29

but it was meant "jokingly" anyway.

I'l give a free web-account to the one who has the correct answer first.

btw that is a "standard" webaccount, includes email but no heavy traffic sites or business sites

Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

There are 30 NBA teams, and thus 30 first round picks. The Pacers would be at pick #30, but since Minny forfeits their pick, we'll get the 29th player selected. Unless we trade up, of course.

I'm planning on making a website this summer, but I've been holding out for a domain name.

The poster "pacertom" since this forum began (and before!). I changed my name here to "Slick Pinkham" in honor of the imaginary player That Bobby "Slick" Leonard picked late in the 1971 ABA draft (true story!)

Pacers pick Chris Duhon 6-1 PG from Duke with the 29th pick, cause there ain't no damn 30th pick this year.

Man, I hope so. I think he may be gone though - seems like the Lakers may be targeting him.

There is precedent for DW trading up a few spots to get his guy. IIRC, he moved up about 5 spots - by trading next years #1 to get Foster.
