    Default Pacers/Lakers on NBAtv

I just saw that the Pacers and Lakers game was voted as the Fan Night game for tomorrow on NBAtv. Thought that was pretty cool. They even interviewed TJ Ford some.

Hope we can have a decent showing, since it's the closest we'll get to any coverage nationally

Is Rush our 6th man now? Hes been playing nice the past few games and its good hes getting some recognition now. Pacers.com has him as our 6th man and not Jack anymore

"So, which one of you guys is going to come in second?" - Larry Bird before the 3 point contest. He won.

Will the game still be on FSI?

if you pay closer attention you will see that Conrad now uses the term "Bench" instead of 6th man so it covers the whole bench instead of designating a single person which I think is smart especially when you deal with teams as deep as the Lakers or teams where the sixth man is not easy to figure out

    Good question.

Usually when games have been broadcast on NBA-TV they aren't aired on their local FSN channel or a LP channel. We'll just have to see how the programming plays out since this was a fan vote situation and not a game that was already on NBA-TV's program schedule.

That is not correct. NBA-TV has no impact what-so-ever on what the local programming is. In fact NBATV has to get their feed from either the Lakers or Pacers broadcast

Do you need NBA league pass on direct tv to get NBATV?

No, but you likely will have to subscribe to a sports tier package.

    We shall see.

I'm don't live in Indy, so what games I do get are all either on FSN-IN, the other team's FSN channel or LP. However, my observation has been that if the game is on NBA-TV then it's not aired on any of the other FSN or LP channels. But hey, I could be wrong; the problem could be because I'm not watching the games locally.

(Those darn blackout rules are so confusing...)

Like UB said, you have to have the 15 buck a month sports package to get NBA TV. But like most things in life, there is a workaround. The bottom left channel on the Sports Mix channel on DirecTV is NBATV. You could watch the game on that screen, with full audio, if you had to.

This was the perfect game to put on NBATV from the pacers perspective since we won in a close game off a game winner. Really gives casual fans interest in our team.
