    On to some actual commentary:

We were lucky for Horford to be out. But I think we would have won anyway.

Joe Johnson was godlike from three and everywhere else. He always is. But we did a great job of letting him get his due but not more, and containing the rest of the team. This team's defense is enjoyable to watch.

Ford played unselfishly for much of the game. That, along with his just being smart about distributing the ball (it takes both) are the key, I think, to how successful we'll be this season.

Murph and Jeff swapped stat lines tonight. Danny's line pretty strong with the assists, steals and blocks.

Murphy was very impressive rotating over and challenge drives and blocking out early for rebounds. Also a big help, the Hawks are a jump shooting team, they will not win many games that way and we exposed that very well. They really needed Josh Smith. Did anyone notice they scored only 6 points in the final 4:30. Awesome job.

Total team effort. Very enjoyable to watch! Offense was very fluid, very active, constantly moving.

I liked the whole team effort tonight. Nice to see Rasho and Danny have good nights, as well as Jeff and Murphy. Good win.

Back to basics! They played as a team. I felt it would take a few games b4 this would happen, and I'm glad I was wrong. There were numerous players to commend for this win, and as you said, an enjoyable game to watch.

Was at the game 6 rows up from the corner of the court. Best seats I have ever had.
Great moment of the game is Danny blocking a shot and slamming it off the head of someone and the ball bounces 20 feet in the air. Granger is fun to watch and he interacts with the crowd just a little bit.

Just got back from the game. I was right behind the Hawks bench- literally the first row behind them. All for $25 dollars...

Does anyone have a copy of the post game show? I got to talk to Kevin for a bit...

ESPN game highlights show Rasho's good passing out of the high post, feeding the cutters and leading to easy baskets by Quis and Troy.

    Love the fundamentals.

Granger isn't a 30 point wing player. No way. He just gets lucky when drops 30 plus one out of every three nights.

Geez we need to trade this guy, he only put up 34? What a waste of a roster spot.

Guys, I'm just playing here, obviously.

Rasho is the man, and really the glue guy of this team this year. I love the fact that he's mentoring Roy.

Good for Rush to finally hit a couple of shots and his FT attempts were up, too.

Even with some guys hurt on their team it was good to go out there and just control the game and blow someone out.

Just got done watching it on the dvr, and I want to put a gold star up on the board for Marquis' defense on Joe Johnson. The guy's effectiveness went down each time Marquis was on him. That was a big factor, in my view. Did he get 25 pts? Yes. That's just under his average. Could have been 35 real easy. Wouldn't be the first time another team's big scorer had a season-high on us. No one else was stopping him at all. 'Quis was bugging the heck out of him.

Great win. Good confidence restorer for team and fans.

Good win. Didn't get to see it, but says a lot for the team to get back on the winning side of things and avoid a real slide.

I just got back from the game.... Although I'm supposed to be going easy on my knee and back 25.00 lower bowl tix were too tempting to pass up. Thank you PS&E.

And thank you PS&E for this team and the change to basketball the way it's supposed to be played- 5 guys on the court working for each other. Not ISO Ball... not me-me-meism (word invented by Bball). These guys are so much more enjoyable to watch play basketball than the recent past. I feel they care about the team and not their stat line as the most important thing. And that makes it easy to care about the team.

I also want to say that I'm on the bandwagon to keep Rasho around. He's got a soft touch from the floor and seems to know not only his role but his limits. He plays 'big' (like a real center should).

Can we get cheers not only for Foster but also Murphy?

    And what about Jack too?

    :cheer:

TJ Ford and Granger I now expect to play like this every outing (not necessarily 30+ points from Granger but I'm talking with this determination and confidence and overall floor game).

Nice to see Brandon hit a couple of shots from the field... not that he always took the best shot though....

And Marquis playing D and getting to the line too!

    :cheer:

I'm not sure there's anything to complain about tonight.
Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

I was at the game as well. Behind the basket, about 7 rows up, right behing Ms. Stacy Paetz. I thought the team played well, rebounded well, defend well, and played as a team.

The closest I had been in the past was like 15 rows behind the visiting team, and so I was closer then that and more then happy. What through me off was the size of the Pacemates. They've never seemed so small before. When they first came out, I thought they were like a middle school dance team, and I was only 7 rows from the floor! Of course a few of them looked of age, but others just looked so small! haha

Went to the game tonight, sat with some PDers for the second half. Good win, just wish Obie would sub in the scrubs when opposing teams do, and also no Hibbert. It was basically an 8 man rotation other than Dieners second quarter minutes.

    HAWKS COACH MIKE WOODSON

(On Al Horford’s absence and how it affected points in the paint) "Al is a big part of what we do. When he’s missing in terms of clogging up the middle, banging for us, and scoring a little, he’s missed. But it gives the other guys an opportunity to step in and we just didn’t get it done. In terms of our bigs standing in there and banging, I thought we let Nesterovic have his way and Murphy kind of threw his weight around as well."

Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

JOB's press conference regarding Jeff's 3 was pretty classic.......

JOB: He's been begging me to draw up 3 point plays for him at the end, so I threw him a bone and it just worked to perfection.

Conrad: Were you aware it had been 6 or 7 years since he made one?

    JOB: I would've guessed longer.

Wells?: So you really drew that up for him?

JOB: Hell no! Are you kidding? I value my job too highly......
