Default Is Dunleavy out for today's game?

I remember reading somewhere that Mike was only going to be out for the season opener, just wanted to know if there was an update if he is playing tonight or not.

Game notes say he's still out. I thought he'd at least miss a week with this injury.

I'll be surprised if this doesn't drag on all season.

Hey come on, not so negative. If he's careful enough this should be over within 2 weeks. Unless it's chronic of course...

I think a month should get him up to speed, and they certainly should push it and then prolong it.

BTW, I was/am one of the "trade high" guys on Dunleavy, just full disclosure if not a snarky "told you so". But so it is, let's just get him back out there the right way so we can get max contributions from him.

Debbie Downer's philosophy on players returning from injury: don't believe the time table until you see them actually playing in a game.

I too had high hopes of him coming back for tonights game. But Tendinitis comes and go.

i wish the same thing that happened to Aaron Brooks can happen to Mike. Brooks was suppose to be out 3 weeks and played the 2nd game.

I'd give it another week or two.. I don't want him to be the next JO so let him rest until he is completely ready.

Yeah, as frustrating as it is to have him out so long, better that than getting him back too soon and making this a season-long issue.

When Marquis Daniels tried to play with tendonitis in his knee it caused him to be miss the last few games of Carlisle's last season here. Then he developed problems in the other knee because he was overcompensating for it. Supposedly these knee issues kept him from being as effective as possible last season.

I'd much rather have Dun sit until after the all-star break if that's what it takes for him to come back 100% with no worries.

I totally agree. No need in pushing it, especially when Quis, Rush, and Jack are filling in at SG very well.

I'd rather he miss the entire first month of the season and come back completely healthy for the long run. Besides, it will give BRush some more playing time and valuable learning experience.

Larry is not coming back, he didn't have a meeting with Orlando for not reason, yeah he is coming back to the NBA but not to the Pacers, the notion that he is a taking a year off and then come back is absurd.

I heard Rick Kamala say earlier on NBATV that Mike would be out for a while longer because on top of the tendinitis, he has "multiple bone spurs" in his knee. Whether the info is reliable or not, I don't know.

What the hell is it with this team that it can't keep it's players on the court. This has been perpetual for a few seasons now and an answer needs to be found.

This is true. O'Brien confirmed it on his radio show.
