Thread: DeAngelo Hall gets the axe

Default DeAngelo Hall gets the axe

Sorry no link, but it is posted on ESPN. The Raiders just cut DeAngelo Hall. I'd prefer a Defensive Tackle, but he would be a nice addition to our banged up secondary.

I agree. He hasn't been very good in Oakland's man-to-man defense but I think he'd be a good fit in Indy's scheme. He's still relatively young too so hopefully they'll give him a call.

Larry is not coming back, he didn't have a meeting with Orlando for not reason, yeah he is coming back to the NBA but not to the Pacers, the notion that he is a taking a year off and then come back is absurd.

With the secondary banged up like it is, I would love to see them bring him in if they can afford it.

How good can he be if he was cut by the Raiders?

Your answer is in your question.

The Raiders are a bush-league ran organization. They're still trying to use a bump-and-run type man2man defense. Hall isn't very good in that type of denfense. He's better in zone type defenses.

He's been a pro-bowler the past 2 seasons with the Falcons. That's why, according to his agent, 15 teams have already contacted him since he's been cut. I bet the Colts were one of them.
