Default Indianapolis at Tennessee – Monday Night Football – 10/27/08

(3-3) After a let down last week against Green Bay, the Colts are going to have their hands full against the 6-0 Titans.

(6-0) The Titans would like to prove to the non-believers in the NFL that they are for real, and would enjoy taking an even more comfortable lead in the AFC South with a win tonight.

    Time: 8:30 PM ET

    Location: LP Field, Nashville, TN

    Television:
    Super Bowl XLI Champions
    2000 Eastern Conference Champions

Let's hope we show up ready to play for this one.

Swiss-cheese D against the run on the Titan's 1st series, but looked good on the second!

I like the way we're playing overall, but Manning can't undermine it by making ill-advised throws like the one on the pick.

Why wasn't the fumble challenged? Did the refs blow the whistle or could nobody wake Dungy up in time?

That fumble shoulda been challenged, but oh well. The Colts are playing decent and hanging with Tennessee just fine. I think the Titans are pretty overrated from what I've seen so far.

If the Colts were playing at 100% this wouldn't even be a contest. Tennessee's lead in the AFC South won't last the season.

Now that the Titans have tied it, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they try to onside kick it. Fisher loves having the momentum.

That was an absolutely stupid decision to go for it on 4th there. Now you give them the ball back at midfield when they just walked all over you on their last drive. Instead they could have pinned them deep and made them earn it. Stupid.

Man we need to hold them to an FG here. I'll give our D credit for playing tough all game, but they have missed multiple opportunities to create what would've been big TOs.

    Now another inexplicable timeout!

I never say it's over, but I don't think this team is gonna shoot itself in the foot like Minny or the Texans did.

Finally a little QB pressure. Too bad they're on the doorstep. Pray for a TO.

In the event we can't pull out another miracle, I would tend to hang this one more on the offense.

    Total domination.

And I had the GTS in the bag until that TD.

Colts easily could have won this game. They played well enough to be in it in a tough environment. They just didn't make any big plays at key junctures. Clark's deflection that led to the last INT.

You've got to make something happen when the game's on the line. The offense just is not doing that. The defense missed some opportunities tonight, too.

Well, I'm pretty close on the GTS at least.

    I think I had 31-10 Titans

Until Peyton turned on the jets for his TD...

On a side note, the Titans cheerleaders are smokin' hot in their Halloween costumes.

They came out of half scoring and really taking the momentum. From there they just wilted. Makes no sense.

It's still as if they just lose focus and intensity if everything doesn't go their way. In this case, Tennesse didn't cooperate by just rolling over and dying.

But the forte of this team is supposedly its offense and they were unable to keep the points coming as they once would have after going in front.

Why does our offense always wait until the end of games to wake up?

They're not that good. All those games Manning used to pull out, almost on his own? Not this year. The only season I don't remember 3-5 wins being directly because Manning pulled something out of his butt was last year. So far this season he hasn't been able to pull it off.

And in this game not having Addai really hurt. Clark botching that last ball didn't help but it was pretty much over by that time anyway.
