Thanks! It's been a rather trying volleyball season, with one of my girls racking up a lot of DNP-CDs for no apparent reason. Their coach wasn't there today, and the substitute changed the line-ups around. Both my girls got plenty of playing time, played well, and the team won all their games and the tournement. That was the happiest I've seen them about volleyball in a while.

Sort of like their "break out" games . I remember with my own coach I used to play center all the damn time both on offense and defense, while I most definitely am a center on the defensive side with my physical strength and love for playing that way, I was much more like a forward on the offensive end (good midrange, an acceptable 3PT shot, nice turnaround jumper and LOUSY close to the basket post moves).

That was a problem through almost two seasons and I spoke to him about it multiple times, then he misses a game and his backup plays me exactly the way that I had been advocating and have basically the best game in my (modest) bball career. Sometimes it goes that way I guess...

Offcourse when the old coach came back... he returned me to my old sets... so, at the end of the season I left the club and joined another one .

Anyway, glad your girls got to show their stuff now, must make you feel good indeed .

I'm sure once their coach is back next week it will be back to the old ways. Which is too bad. One of my daughters has been clearly outplaying the girl in front of her, but no change in the line-up.

Oh well, you learn a little from things like this.

    Thanks for the PMs.

And my girls won their volleyball tournament. And both played well.
Good day all around then - congrats.
