    Default Protected Lists & Draft

Thanks to all of you for getting your PL's in. As of now I have 15 and am just waiting on 5. Those are due Saturday, but it wouldn't break my heart if I got them a little earlier.

I'm gone from mid-day Monday through Wednesday next week. I may be able to check in at night but that'll be about it.

Here's the plan. Once I get all the PL's in I'll send those out to everyone. It'll be a 2-sheet excel spreadsheet. One will have the summer rosters and next to each player name will be either a K or a c, for keep or cut. I'll have a second sheet with all protected players listed alphabetically. Keep in mind the teams the players are listed on may not be 100% accurate - those were the teams as of last spring when I pulled them up. I haven't changed those so, frex, Richard Jefferson will still be listed as NJ.

Next I'll start the draft here on PD. There will be no clock. Draft at your own pace. On Saturday the 11th at 9 a.m. Indy time the draft clock will change to 15 minutes. I'll wait a little while between sending those lists out and starting the draft in case I've made a mistake on the PL - I'm shooting for 24 hours to give everyone a chance to look the lists over.

I'm also going to open the draft on PD. Don't make any selections there and ignore that draft order. I'm doing it for 2 reasons. First, I'll enter all protected players as each team's top 9 picks so it'll give you another way to see who's not available. This won't be 100% accurate as Chill is keeping all 12 (unless he changes his mind) but it'll be close. Second, it will let everyone see what positions their players are listed at so you can make decisions accordingly. We do NOT automatically carry over position changes from year-to-year so the positions listed on the summer and protected lists may not be accurate.

As always, if you need me to draft for you, send me a list and there are other owners here who I'm sure will be willing to help.

Jus sent you my list, right now, I'm keeping 10, so you'll need to adjust the draft accordingly.

Nobody needs to be sorry - the deadline isn't until Saturday. This was just a (hopefully) friendly reminder.

    I'll get less friendly Saturday.

Just to clarify, you meant open the draft on Sports.ws also, to check rosters, right? Didn't want anyone confused.
Hey! What're you kicking me for? You want me to ask? All right, I'll ask! Ma'am, where do the high school girls hang out in this town?

Yeah - had a brain-dead moment. Consider sports.ws being open as a resource to help you draft but PD is where the draft itself is taking place.

I just sent everyone an e-mail with the PL's & draft order. Please look everything over and make sure I haven't screwed something up.
