I can stay till about 9:10, but then I have about a 45 minute commute to work - so excuse me if I'm not around to make my pick during the 9-10 hour.

That's actually good IMO. I'm happy with 15. If you can't get in the top 5 you're better off as far down the list as possible. Generally not a lot of difference between about 8 and 18 and later means you get a high 2nd rd pick.

I'm pretty happy with the 18th and 19th back to back. I noticed all the flip flopping too, this is going to be interesting.

These drafts never work out perfectly for everyone. I was hoping that at least a few picks had been made already too.

We use to try to get everyone on line at the same time & have the draft done in one day. We had a 15 minute draft clock & usually 2 or 3 couldn't show at all, another 2 or 3 had to leave or show up late & the draft took 8 to 9 hours to complete.

Believe me, this way is 100 times better.

The draft clock might be a little long but with so many first time players & with 6 weeks to go before the start of the season.... I can live with it.

    Wow

That was kind of a surprise.

    Kobe went #1.

I had him on my contingency list but not that high.

    regarding the contingency list...
does it automatically select the top player on that list - or does the 24 hours need to be fulfilled before it gets selected automatically?

    Thanks

Lets say you have the 4th pick.

This morning when the draft started you put LeBron James, Dywane Wade, Chris Paul & Kobe on you contingency list, in that order.

As soon as Intercold took Kobe, Kobe would have been removed from your list.

As soon as Aesop Rock on took LeBron, he would have been taken off your list too.

When Avoiding the Clowns selcted Paul the computer would have subtracted him from you list.

The computer automaticly selects the top player still available on your list. In this case it would have been Wade, your 2nd choice.

The computer does not wait to make your selection for you as long as you have at least one player still on your list the choice is made instantly.

Pick 7 sorta sucks. Oh well. At least Al Jeff is still only 23 years old. Was really hoping Flash would fall.

Yea, out of the top 5 I had Wade fifth, but I felt there was a pretty steep drop off from 5th to 6th. Tim D loses some value in a keeper league cause of where he is in his career, and Amare has similar health concerns as Wade and I wonder what will happen to him in a year or two when the Nash era is over, whereas to me Wade looks pretty reliable as a scorer as long as he's healthy.

The Al Jefferson pick seems pretty silly to me.

Remember what kind of stats count in this league and then look at Al Jeff's numbers. The guy is a prime example of fantasy gold, real-life pyrite.

Not to me. If you look at his numbers for the past 3 seasons you might think differently.
