    Barkley to have televised colonoscopy.
TNT NBA analyst Charles Barkley has seemingly been in the news all summer.

In May, the former NBA star was involved in a gambling debt controversy involving the Wynn Casino, and recently, he's been in the news for a reality show on The Golf Channel that will attempt to fix his notoriously bad golf swing.

Now, Barkley is gaining more exposure than ever before.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Barkley will apparently have a televised colonoscopy as part of the upcoming Stand Up to Cancer event that will be simulcast on CBS, NBC and ABC.

Barkley, who will undergo the procedure on Friday, was reportedly "happy to participate in promoting awareness for colonoscopies."

Oh great...we get to see Charles Barkley getting a camera stuck up his anus...

    Now THAT's entertainment!

Will have to go out and buy a 6-pack beforehand for this one.....

Is this also a part of Fix Charles Barkley's Golf Swing?

In all seriousness, it's a brave thing for him to do. I know I wouldn't want to have my colonoscopy televised.

Hopefully nothing is 'backed up' when he has his colonoscopy.

    ....Other joke under consideration:

We'll finally have the long running debate settled on whether Barkley is full of $h-t or not!

A year ago, you would've gotten a series of infractions from posting such a remark.

Now, it's both hilarious and accurate. Bravo.

Well, at least they're not performing a colonoscopy on Dennis Rodman.

I would bet even the doctors would not want to see what surprises they
might find crawling around up in there.

Maybe they could use carbon dating on the contents to find out exactly what went wrong.

    True - lol

On second thought, maybe they should do the procedure on Rodman.

It would probably result in much better TV ratings than Barkley could ever get.

Good for him. This reminds me that I'm due for another of these uh, lovely, pleasant experiences.
Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

Well, they use a camera regardless, so why not...

I'm sure the partial sedation helps with this, but I'm less afraid of the camera than the unpleasant purging of the digestive tract the day before the procedure. Attention, producers: do NOT force us to watch Barkley's purge.

I've been there and done it. The three day prep can be tough. The actual procedure was a breeze.
