depending on how much this costs them -- not a bad move. he can play both the 2 and 3 and has size which mobley and gordon lack. attitude is a concern especially with a malcontent like tim thomas already there for a few more years. right now they just need a backup center (unless they plan on not starting camby or kaman?) and the clippers will have had an unusually productive offseason.
    This is the darkest timeline.

    Sorry, here's the link http://www.nba.com/clippers/news/rdavis_080728.html

Yeah, it's good for the Clips to add another scorer around Baron Davis.

Geez...I completely forgot about Ricky Davis.....talk about completely forgetting about a somewhat decent SG/SF FA that is still out there.
Ash from Army of Darkness: Good...Bad...I'm the guy with the gun.

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

The Clippers are doing a pretty good job of making lemonade out of lemons.

I don't like that the Clippers are doing at all. They will never be good enough to be a top team out west, and will not be bad enough to stay in the lottery. They will be stuck in mediocrity for some time.

This could be a pretty solid move depending on the price and if he is able to keep his head on straight.

Mediocrity would be a compliment to a lot of the Clipper teams over the past 20 years. Their saving grace was that they had a high draft pick, granted their choices were never great, but in terms of rebuilding there is always some hope when you get a high pick.

That about sums it up, folks.

Clips might actually make the playoffs this year.

Scoring will definitely not be a problem. With Camby and Kaman as your bigs, this will probably be a fun team to watch.
Turn out the lights, this party's over!

Clippers aren't making the playoffs this year... Even if the Nuggets fall out of the picture, the Blazers and Warriors are still exponentially better than the Brand-less Clips.

    Keep?

He has never had his head on straight, that's why he gets passed around more than a joint at Tinsley's house.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

    Hey rock747,
That is a great pic, but who is that about to dunk... or hit the ground hard?

A decade of mediocrity would be a something for the Clips to throw a parade over. Four playoff appearances in 30 years. Made it out of the 1st Round once.

I think the W's are going to be the team that drops this year... possibly Houston too? I also see SAS' decline to be real this year and pretty steep. No reason LAC and Portland can't both be right in the picture.

Is Ricky Davis still a knucklehead, or did his time in NBA purgatory set him strait?

I assume your talking about my avatar. That is Vince Carter dunking(and jumping) over a 7'2" guy in the olympics a few years ago. Probably the best dunk I have ever seen.

Eh. I'm not so sure. I think Camby is a better fit than Brand for the Clips.
