Good for him. I enjoyed his time here (except when he got DNPs) and hope he finds success in Philly.

well the sixers needed three point shooting and they just got themselves one of the best in the league...

That's a cheap shot. Larry was clearly referring to Ballboy Baggins.

in fairness, kareem did hit 38.9% of 3 pt shots (ranking #42 in the league last season) on 3.7 attempts per game. that's not bad for a minimum contract guy.

good luck to kareem, but shooting is among the least of our concerns now. his stellar 3pt % was actually 4th on the team, after dunleavy (42.4%), granger (40.4%), and murphy (39.8%). and that's with brandon rush (41.9% in his last ncaa season) coming in. btw, hibbert hit 100% from the college 3 (3 out of 3)

We added Kareem Rush, one of the best shooters in the league.

Seems like he was pretty clearly referring to Kareem...

redd is right: it was a cheap shot on my part. i intentionally neglected the fact that in print, larry bird quotes are meant to 'read' like yoda

Man im gonna miss this guy. We should have signed him and let someone like Graham go.

Does anyone know how much they paid for him?

Thanks for your time here, Kareem and good luck in Philly!

Fun to watch when you were on fire.

I wouldn't have had a problem keeping him, and had the Rush brothers on the team, but oh well, he was a decent player, but not that big of a loss and not unexpected at all.

Graham brings more athleticism. I think with BRush here, KRush became redundant. I'm pretty sure one of the handful of explosive games KRush has will be against us...it always seems to happen that way.

Good to see him make a roster, he's a solid bench player.

Remember we wanted to sign him to multiple years, and he only wanted the one. Might not have made more money, but he is going to a better team.

That's a cheap shot. JayRedd clearly didn't read the article and was trying to make a joke based on his memory of a quote from 12 months ago.

So, in other words, from sometime around about the end of July, towards the middle of 2007, near the time when Larry Bird was getting close to signing a free agent to fill up the Pacers' need for an outside shooter?

And I won't be here to see the day
It all dries up and blows away
I'd hang around just to see

    Good luck to Kareem.

He did well and I would not have complained to see him re-signed. Hopefully he does well in Philly.

I'm surprised he didn't take advantage of the crazy euro money being thrown around.

For someone whose best attribute is supposed to be his 3-pt ability, that's not very good at all.

That's down right blasphemy, to some on this board. Beward their wrath.

I'm glad to see Kareem get a shot to stay in the league. He did a pretty nice job for us last year on the court, and he's actually a good guy too...I wish him well.

Brandon just didn't want to wear a jersey that said BRush. Not very appealing especially for a rookie jersey.
