Went here and tried the Batali (named after Mario Batali's dad, I guess.)
It was a great sandwich. It's a deli that sells local produce too. I know most local, organic stuff can be expensive, but some of the prices there were insane. The sandwich wasn't too pricey, $7.50 and the soups are supposed to be good. It was a pretty small sandwich menu, but it is a deli first. I'd certainly recommend it.
I go there about once a month. Really good sandwiches.

I'll also throw in a recommendation for Virginia Kay's doughnuts on Meridian Street. Tasty!

I had never been there. But I've been to Long's Bakery on W. 16th right across the White River. That place is an incredible old school bakery.

I just read that and was coming here to post it. Great timing on my part.

Anyway, they were good. Too bad they didn't make it.

Thr3e Wiseman - in Broad Ripple.

Their pizza is really, really good. It is right up there IMO with Bazbeauz and Pizzology.

    Fun atmosphere too

3 Wise Men is owned by the same guy who started Scotty's Brewhouse...everything that guy is touching seems to turn to gold.

Also, ate the Local again last week, they just put up their new fall/winter menu. get the roast turkey sandwich with sauteed onions, swiss cheese, and cilanto sour cream on grilled sourdough and thank me later. It's fantastic. Also they have a new seasonal beer list, enjoyed that sandwich with a pint of Bell's Kalamazoo stout.

I must be in the minority because to my knowledge every one of the Scotty's locations is doing fantastic, but I find their food to be incredibly average.

I would agree with you. Except for the BBQ Ribs at Scottys and the pizza at Thr3e Wiseman. Everything else I've had is average.

Yeah, but they have a pretty big beer selection for a place with multiple locations. They also have a ton of televisions, a plethora of specials, and a menu that while it is average is reasonably priced and has a big selection. I'm not saying it's great food, but the guy clearly has the restaurant model down to a science right now.

Anyone know where to get Beef Wellington in Indy? It's what my wife wants for our anniversary dinner. I have called around and looked at some online menus. I can't find it! Hoaglin-To-Go can special order it and I did find a place in Noblesville that has it (Kelties). I need to find it downtown because we are going to a concert there. But I'd like to know of any place that serves it for future reference. Help!
