With New Jersey having a glut of PF/C and us needing a PF, would you take a chance on Sean Williams? I know both have been in trouble in the past, I've not heard much about Sean lately, but this trade seems to make since for both teams. Pacers get a PF, on a rookie contract, that provides some shot blocking and rebounding. New Jersey gets a SF to play behind Simmons and maybe the change of venue will help Shawne reach his potintial. Plus NJ is a lot farther away from Men. then Indy is. Plus Sean is 7 months younger then Shawne.
Successful Trade Scenario Congratulations on a successful trade.
Due to Indiana and New Jersey being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Indiana and New Jersey had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
