    Default New Jersey Trade Idea

Jamaal Tinsley and Shawne Williams to NJ for Stromile Swift and Sean Williams. According to ESPN Trade Machine, this deal works, and fills a need for both squads. Maybe we could toss in a future 2nd round pick as a mild sweetner, because the big drawback would be that Jamaal's deal is 2 yrs longer than Swift's. If not Jamaal, the deal still works with Daniels, which would be right up their alley since he's an expiring contract.

I've read somewhere they'd be ready to part ways with williams and I could definitely see them having some use for shawne with jefferson gone (bobby simmons?? naaahhhh) but a swap of Tinman for Swift? that would be a steal for us and they just sign and traded for dooling to back up harris....

Williams for williams would be ok. Nets have no use for J.T. at all.

Sean Williams has always appeared as a nice athletic player for me but I really cannot say much about him except for his "troubled" past, do any of you guys have good knowledge of him and would he be a good fit for our Pacers?

I would pass on this trade. We would obtain a guy with questionable work ethic in Swift, and a guy with a background no better than Williams in Williams.

Interesting trade that we trade 2 bad apples for each other(Tin for Swift) and 2 potential guys in (Williams for Williams). I would definitely look at it.

That's not the point of the trade though. The point is to get rid of Jamaal first and foremost. IF we get anything even remotely useful back then that's a plus.

Exchanging Williams for Williams is fair I would say and I would say that we would actually have to give something more for the Nets to accept this. Offcourse with us having 16 players under contract we could actually offer a little more.

Still not really seeying the Nets doing this.

I'm still thinking the Heat are the prime candidates (maybe only candidates in the running for Jamaal). Who knows.

Maybe IF Swift's contract isn't expiring the coming season... is it? I haven't checked it yet.

Then it's not attractive enough IMO for the Nets to do this trade.

Sean Williams may turn out to be great and may play it straight for the rest of his career, but the fact that he got kicked off his college team will come out within a week of us trading for him and then Bird loses whatever credibility he has left. I don't even think we'd consider him.
