Mine quit working on my older truck about 120,000 miles ago - and completely fell off about 60,000 miles ago.

Unfortunately I just took it to the landfill.

A bunch of cars on our street were hit as well.
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

    Another thing they are taking:

We came home from work the other day and our house was hot and our air had stopped working. The unit was running, it just wasn't putting out any cold air. We thought this was weird because it's less than 2 years old. We called the heating and air company that installed it and after hearing what was happening they asked us to check the little box behind the unit where the wires run to it. We looked and sure enough it had been tampered with. There's a small plastic plug in there that has two tiny chunks of copper in it and thieves are stealing those plugs and taking out the copper. It cost us $12 for a new plug and $3 for a new master lock to put on the box.

GARY, Ind. -- A man apparently trying to steal parts from cars was fatally crushed when the jack he was using to lift one car failed and the vehicle fell on him, police said.

An employee at I-80 Auto Parts found the body of Terry Davis, 54, Friday morning in the parking lot outside the Gary business.

A spokesman for the Lake County Coroner's Office said Davis died from blunt force trauma. His death has been ruled an accident.

Police said Davis was apparently trying to steal catalytic converters from cars in the store's lot. The devices contain small amounts of the precious metals platinum and palladium, which command high prices on metal commodity markets.

Officers said Davis was trespassing on the property at the time of his death.

Were there any signs warning would-be thieves about the potential of death and injury if they jacked up a car unattended? Did the thief use a jack that belonged to the auto parts store? Maybe his family can sue the Auto Parts Store. Afterall, had they sufficiently warned the man of the potential for death and not left the cars in plain view where they would be deemed as temptations, he might still be alive and able to continue to ply his trade!
