After July 9, we will be a much different team obviously. Here are a couple of ideas for adjusting the new roster.
Yes. I am serious. If I am not mistaken, Al wants out and he has a restricted option on his contract after this year. I could see us giving them Daniels and his team option next year at almost $7M and Tinsley, who is someone that would probably fit in Oakland a whole lot better than here. I could also see Nelson being one of the few coaches willing to take him. They are under the cap and could do a two for one that would net them two guys perfect for their roster.
They shop Diaw for a big backup PG to back up Nash. Foster a veteran big man with an expiring, rebounding and defense. These two guys are perfect for what the Suns are looking for. I am not a huge Diaw fan, but I think the Suns just want to get rid of his contract for some pieces that fit their team better for their next two years. He is still young and would fill our PF need with youth. Tinsley has the opportunity to play in a limited role, which I think will be good for him. And I think the veterans on that team will tell Tinsley he needs to get his **** together (Shaq) and are willing to lead by example (Nash, Hill, Bell).
Two other trades I see happening with other teams close to the Pacers:
