Thread: Possible Tinsley destination: Sacramento

    Default Possible Tinsley destination: Sacramento

Let's suppose that we select Mario Chalmers on draft night ahead of Sacramento, and lets suppose that DJ Augustin goes #10 to Portland, who is rumored to be moving up to New Jerseys spot to get Augustin.

Assuming all of that happens, and Sacramento is left with no chance to pick up a point guard on draft night, they might be the best combination in the league of a team both CRAZY enough and DESPERATE enough to take a gamble on Tinsley.

What would each team think of these potential deals?

    1. Indiana trades Jamal Tinsley to Sacramento
Sacramento trades Mikki Moore to Indiana/

    2. Indiana trades Jamal Tinsley to Sacramento.
Sacramento trades a signed and traded Anthony Johnson to Indiana

    3. Indiana trades Jamal Tinsley to Sacramento.
Sacramento trades a signed and traded Lorenzen Wright to Indiana

    Or, here is the topper:

    4. Indiana trades Jamal Tinsley to Sacramento.
Sacramento trades Ron Artest to Indiana.

Indiana would immediately buy out the contract of Artest, who has an expiring deal instead of the 3 years left of Tinsley's, saving the Simons millions in real cash.

Any chance one of these deals, or something similar, happening?

    How about Tinsley to Denver

Steven Hunter & Chucky Atkins to Sacramento

    Shareef Abdur-Rahim to Indiana

No doubt I'm on board with any of these if it rids us of Tinsley. You have to wonder if Sacramento won't be gunshy of dealing with us about our malcontents after suffering through Ron Ron though. AJ or MM would be nice pick up in a perfect world.

Denver seems to be perhaps the most PG desperate of anybody and Karl might just be whacky enough to agree to try and reign in JT. So it's jettison JT versus add the worthless (IMO) SAR. Probably would be worth it to divest ourselves of Tins.

I've always liked Mikki Moore, I'd take him as a legit 7'0'' for Tinsley any day of the week.

i really don't see the kings being tremendously interested as they're in the process of rebuilding. but if they're that desperate to move SAR or KT then maybe.

count55 had a great post where he pulled a lot of responses to a similar thread he started at RealGM. it can be found here:
    http://www.pacersdigest.com/apache2-...1&postcount=26

but essentially the deals fans thought were available...

    1) Tinsley for Jared Jeffries
    2) Tinsley for Trenton Hassell [and possibly Ager to make the $$$ work]
    3) Tinsley for Dan Gadzuric
    4) Tinsley and Daniels for Ben Wallace
    5) Tinsley and Diogu for Boris Diaw

out of that list i don't like the last two.
    This is the darkest timeline.

Pacers might to a Tinsley for SAR deal if the Kings would bite.

WHy would anyone want Ben Wallace. Have you seen the size of his contract? Hes llike 33 years old and has 5 years remaining on that huge contract....Bulls were dumb to give him that contract

Denver probably isn't a bad idea. Karl always seems to think he can
find a way to deal with malcontents.

tins' contract is longer by a year. on the other hand, sar missed almost all of last year with a knee injury.

tins and shawne for sar and douby? tins and shawne for kenny thomas also works money wise, but i'd prefer abdur-rahim (assuming his injury isn't career ending)

this is nice too. probably works better than a straight up trade.

I suggested this in the other thread:

    Tinsley+3mil for Kenny Thomas

The guaranteed $$ for Tinsley is $21 mil and Kenny Thomas is owed $17 mil. This should bring the total $$$ owed closer.

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

I like the Kenny Thomas idea. He's awfully overpaid but at least he plays. Now I know this has been mentionned a number of times on PD but what about bringing back Ronnie?? After going crazy once again his trade value has decreased some more. Of course the purpose for us would be to get his expiring and cut him immdiately and use the extra roster slot (for landry maybe?) I don't know if Sac would do it but they need a PG and even if Udrih is ok he'll be alone and MAYBE Jamaal would enjoy a fresh start.

The other team I could definitely see trading for Jamaal is Denver but I don't know if I really want KMart. He's another player a new start would do a lot of good but wht to give them? I d like to keep Jeff, could we send Neste instead of him? I think we have to wait a certain period of time for that...
