At least his contract is insured. Heck, all NBA contracts should be!

The only saving grace of this trade is with JO we are giving up nothing really, he had just laid eggs the past couple of years. But as seen in the Cleveland deal, we could have gotten more back.

Jayredd should be in the Pacers FO.
    Already stoked for 2013-2014.

because "sure shawne, go hang out with murderers" and "marquis, go play in traffic" is a great management strategy.

I dunno, I'd rather have TJ than Varejo. We already have enough garbage players, and lord knows we need someone... especially a PG who can create his own shot and run the show. Plus the 17th pick and a nice expiring. Sounds good to me.

That's how I'm going to view it. Everything has warts. So what. We need baby steps towards getting better, and getting a quick starter PG is a baby step we needed. Bringing in two first rounders will be good, too. Who cares about Rasho.

Does this mean #11 will not be a point guard?

Keeping my fingers crossed for Gordon at 11 and Arthur/Ajinca at 17.

    Arthur or Ajinca/Diogu
    Granger/Williams
    Dunleavy/Gordon

Wow, a decent player, not terrible pick, and expiring contract for a non-playing salary albatross. Not that bad.

I'm more enthralled with #11 on the court saying "Ford" instead of "Tinsley".

I see us taking either two bigs, or a big and a swingman tomorrow if this trade really happens.

If one or the other is part of the deal, let it be AP and not Kopono. IIRC, AP's an expiring contract and 2 years shorter than Kopono. Besides I'd like to have AP in a Pacers' uni.

Well, it would certainly seem to make it less urgent to get the PG at 11, although I could still see them taking one there, too, depending on who's available.
I'd rather die standing up than live on my knees.

That's the way I look at it. With the way our trades have went lately, I was prepared for worse.

It would complete the Tel Aviv set, wouldn't it?

First Sarunas, then Maceo, and last Anthony.

Absolutely not. At least not if Ford is healthy. I'm going to go out on a limb right now and say if TJ Ford plays 70+ games, he will average 16 and 9.
