I bet we see Colvin in 2 years where he will be cheaper than he was now.

In any case good for him.

I don't see where he would have fit in our defense. We don't blitz our linebackers and I don't see him playing DE either.

Most people see him as a DE for the colts and not a linbacker. At 6'3 and 254 he could play DE on pass downs.

He certainly would be better than anything we had late last year.

But I don't think he's ever really played DE and at 30, I don't really think now is the time to convert him.

In New Englands 3/4 defense scheme OLB's are required to line up as DE's. I do remember him also playing as a traditional blitzing OLB but if he played OLB for the Pats he would know how to come off the line.

Gotta always give some congrats to an Indy native getting his opportunity to shine and in that D he will have plenty of opportunities.

I bet we were just a little bit too honest with him. We probably low-balled him on the money and told him that we were really high on Wheeler and Hagler and he wouldn't be guaranteed a starting spot.

I don't blame Rosey at all for going elsewhere.
