Default Draft Scenario Trade Ind/Chi or Ind/Mia

    If Chicago drafts Derrick Rose:

    Indiana trades: Jermaine Oneal
Indiana receives: Kirk Hinrich, Drew Gooden, Thabo Sefalosha

PG: Hinrich, Diener, (tinsley is traded for a 6 pack of squeezeit's)
    SG: Dunleavy, Thabo, Quis
    SF: Granger, Shawne
    PF: Gooden, Murph, Ike
    C: Foster, Murph, #11?

Of course other moves could be made as well

    Chicago trades: Hinrich, Gooden, Thabo
    Chicago recieves: JO

    PG: Rose, Duhon, Shannon Brown
    SG: Gordon, Hughes
    SF: Deng, Nocioni
    PF: JO, Tyrus, C. Simmons
    C: Noah, Gray

The Pacers get their PG, a serviceable PF, and backup SG/SF who can play defense

The Bulls get their PG of the future, while also getting a low post threat who can defend the paint, and teach the younger guys

    OR

    If the Heat take Beasley

    Indiana trades: Jermaine Oneal
    Indiana receives: Shawn Marion

PG: #11, Diener, (Tinsley traded for nesquik and quart of milk)
    SG: Dunleavy, Quis
    SF: Granger, Shawne
    PF: Marion, Ike
    C: Foster, Murph

    Miami trades: Marion
    Miami receives: JO

    PG: Williams, Quinn
    Sg: Wade, Cook
    SF: Davis, Wright
    PF: Beasley, Haslem
    C: JO, Zo, Blount

The Pacers can use Marion the way the Suns did and really push the tempo.

The Heat can just replace Marion with a young Beasley all while adding another veteran low post presence that protects the paint.

I would personally wrather keep JO and draft D.J.

    then have hinrich and gooden.

That Miami heat one sounds alright.

only issue with the Miami one is that once we get Marion hes going to want an extention and is going to want about $20 million a year. Or we could always use him as an expirer.

    we definitely can.
of the 2 I prefer the Miami one as Marion woul be the perfect PF for our style, indeed similar as his Phoenix version. the only concern is to get a low post banger inside to get rebounds and protect the rim. Granted Marion is an excellent rebounder especially for a player his size and Foster can still play (if we don't trade him) but I would not feel totally comfortable with this lineup. Of cours that could be a way to use our pick... don't we need a filler next to Marion to make the trade work?

I feel Hinrich is better then Augustin.

Gooden could be a downgrade from JO on the defensive end, but maybe not that much in any other aspect depending on how you look at it, plus he'll be an expiring after the year.

Thabo gives us a wing that can come in and play defense off the bench

And we still can use the draft to dress other needs, perhaps drafting a young pick at #11, or even trading the pick for some more proven talent.

The Miami trade is a band-aid. We would lose Marion after next year anyway unless you really think we would be willing to give him a 5-6 year deal worth $65-$90+ mil. The only good thing about that deal would be that he expires sooner than JO. I don't think Miami would do this for that reason.

I like the Chicago deal though. We could still use our pick to get Love, Green or Randolph or use it to trade down for either Speights or R. Lopez.
