    Default Pacers off-season plan

Now this is all probably a very large stretch but just check it out:

I think we should start off the season with an attempt to get TJ Ford because i personally believe that TJ Ford is a very very good PG...

we start off the off-season trading with

    Trade #1:
Marquis, MDJ, and Shawne for TJ, Kapono, Anthony Parker and their 17th pick

    Trade #2:
JT, JO 4 Stephon, Malik and their first rounder (probably a 5th pick) (i highly doubt Stephon and/or JO exercise their termination options, who is going to pay them more than they are already paid)

    Trade #3:
With the Knicks' pick take OJ Mayo, with the 11th pick take Darrell Arthur, with the 17th take Donte Greene....

the minutes at each position would be split in this order:

    TJ/Stephon/Diener
    OJ/AnthonyParker/Stephon
    Granger/Kapono/Donte
    Murphy/Arthur/Donte/Diogu/Rose
    Foster/Murphy/Diogu

now at the end of the next year Malik and Stephon's contracts will be done and gives us a butt-load of money to spend on Elton Brand or another good big man... so the idea is that we endure another year of suck and then have a team that can actually compete at a high level

    2009 Free-Agents:
Elton Brand (best chance of getting him and i think he would fit nicely into the line-up i have set up) , LaMarcus Aldridge, KG, Kevin Durant and Greg Oden.

My offseason plan for the Pacers would be muc simpler: win the lottery and draft Derrick Rose!

either way a trade must be done with he knicks... its our only way out of what we have right now... i don't know about you but as much as i love Danny Granger he isnt a franchise player and either is JO... we need somebody near him which is why i suggest we just blow up our team with the Knicks and hope that the youngins we draft and the people we sign with our extra money will be able to give us a great team...

JO or DG has to go... i suggest JO because he is the injury prone one..they are both meant the be the second best player on a team, not the best, so all thse small trades won't make a difference because i don't know about you guys but if u cant make the ECF its not worth doing... Eastern semis only mean that u probably would have made the playoffs in the west... I have always thought of it as try to create a championship team or don't do anything, i see no difference in our situation and the Mavericks... the Mavericks won 50+ games, so, who cares, they still did not win anything important, every team is forgotten other than the champion so these small trades just to get us into the playoffs dont matter to me but thats just my take on it

and also MDJ has to go... he isnt as good as the numbers he put up this year... trading him this offseason would be the smartest thing we could do with him because his stock will never be higher
