It seems like we have dealt with the Clippers more than once in the past. So I am guessing that we will send Bender and Jones to Clipperland for QRich and some luggage.

I am just wondering why Donnie and LArry would be speaking with Vlade's agent , Vlade and his 2 pack of smokes a day , wonder if Donnie smokes that much ?
    He smokes that much.

    He smokes that much.
Donnie might go through 2 packs during a game. He leaves at every timeout and reaching into his pocket for the smokes before he gets down the steps.........

And bulletproof's response shows that he may indeed be the answer to the question "Who knows DW?"............

Pacers give up #29, Al and Pollard in a sign-and-trade to get fa Dampier and fa Cardinal. Dampier does NOT get max, but is happy to be playing for a winner..... and we don't get JRich.

Brezec is picked up by the Bobcats after we bribe them with a box of Tootsie Rolls and a hooker.

Kenny tells us to go screw ourselves and speaks poorly of his experience in Indy after being picked up by another team.

JJ is re-signed to a 2-year contract at $600K per.

Brewer walks after Carlisle refuses to guarantee him more PT, even though we wanted him as our 3rd PG.

We find court time for Freddie at PG, but we also draft a PG with our 2nd round choice to cover our arses.

We sign fa Brent Barry to a two year contract with most of the $5.1M MLE.

And we pick up a no-name in training camp to fill out our 15 man roster.

    Default My predictions

We lose Brezec to the expansion draft because Charlotte thinks the Pacers are missing out on his talents.

We try to swing some trades to bring in a big name SG, but the price is too high and would involve losing Artest (who has too great of an upside and too low of a contract to get rid of). Since this year's draft is extremely complicated (due to lots of foreigners and youngsters), we decide to keep our pick and do our best too scout the many prospects available. We draft the best available player regardless of age or position and plan to bring him up in our system (lets just say Sato for now). We don't decide until the last minute who that is since other teams have the same problems...

After the draft we begin going after free agents. We need a SG and another big man to help Jermaine and to potentially deal with Shaq in the finals. We got Slava Medvedenko at a modest price. Slava will start at center and will give us another option on offense at center and will give JO many more open looks. We wanted Adonal Foyle for MLE, but he signed with GS again because he likes it there.

Finally, we traded Al, Tinsley, and Pollard to Seattle and got Brent Barry, Ridnour, and Calvin Booth in a sign and trade... Barry is a great combo guard who can shoot and play the point if needed... Booth is able defensively and can help when Medvedenko is insufficient.. overall Seattle just wanted him out... We also pick up more offense at the PG spot.

    We obtain:

1st round draft pick (Sato) and whoever we pick second
    Medvedenko
    Barry
    Ridnour
    Booth

    We lose:
    Brezec (expansion draft)
Brewer (cut due to sufficient talent at his position)
    Anderson (signs elsewhere)
    Harrington (trade)
    Tinsley (trade)
    Pollard (trade)

Our lineup looks like this at the beginning of the year:

    PG: Barry/Johnson/Ridnour
    SG: Miller/F. Jones/Sato
    SF: Artest/Bender/J. Jones
    PF: JO/Croshere/2nd round pick
    C: Medvedenko/Foster/Booth

Barry ends up playing a lot of the minutes at SG...

I think I suck at this...
oh well... i gave it my best!
Here, everyone have a : on me

"I've been in this business long enough to know that shooting guards are a dime a dozen"

If that's the case DW, here's a nickel, get us six!

    July 7th 5:21PM
"I wish we still had Brad Miller".

    No doggone kidding!
